Re: Is there any point in keeping PC Principal around?

While I think it would be nice for the show to revisit Principal Victoria, I don't think she should be kicked back into her old job at this point. It's too late. Season 19-20 might've worked. S19 had the ongoing themes connected and PCP was still new and not in vogue, and while S20 had a different s...

Re: *2106: Sons A Witches* Pre-Air Discussion

There is Randy, Gerald and Kenny’s dad and then two other guys in the picture. The other two men are Ryan Valmer (Jimmy's Dad) and Roger Donovan (Clyde's Dad) - interesting choices, I am utterly shocked to see Stephen Stotch excluded. I'm hardly complaining, as he's one of my least favorite charact...

Re: *2105: Hummels & Heroin* Post-Air Discussion

It's been a rough week over here, and my usual routine was sidelined. The good news? That was a pretty fantastic episode, and probably rivals with "Put it Down" for my favorite of the season so far. The show's structure of using current events as a place to reach deeper character stories has been ki...

Re: *2105: Hummels & Heroin* Pre-Air Discussion

So, here's something interesting - you can see Shelly and Kevin McCormick in the cafeteria among the other kids in this clip. This is the first time in the series' history we've seen them depicted as students at the school - it's always made sense, as we know they run through sixth grade, which is a...

Re: *2105: Hummels & Heroin* Pre-Air Discussion

There's possibility here. It's been years since we've seen a real Stan-focused episode, but him peddling drugs is kind of a wild idea to me. We'll see if it works out. These descriptions are almost never as clear-cut as they sound. He's graduated from being the addict himself last time we saw him, a...

Re: *2104: Franchise Prequel* Post-Air Discussion

Re: Call Girl It's abundantly clear in previews that Call Girl is working independently for at least the beginning of South Park: The Fractured But Whole and is not a part of Coon and Friends. I'd still have loved to see Wendy, but it made sense for her alter-ego not to be in this episode. ... So, d...

Re: *2104: Franchise Prequel* Pre-Air Discussion

Suggestion - start the episode with the original Coon and Friends, and as the story continues, introduce Doctor Timothy (maybe Iron Maiden "dies" dramatically) and Fastpass Wonder Tweek and Super Craig, thus filfilling the "prequel" part of the title. Save Call Girl as a last teaser, since it sounds...

Re: *2103: Holiday Special* Post-Air Discussion

Aw, so Principal Victoria really is gone for good?

Still kind of supports my point that s20 and s21 can mostly be the same if Victoria had been back, for all the worries people had about him changing the structure of the show forever. :P

Re: *2103: Holiday Special* Post-Air Discussion

I liked the concept for "Holiday Special", but it felt a bit too overstuffed with ideas. We have a really effective setup. The kids freaking about losing their holiday is really natural and it's a very kids being kinds kind of plot, and it ends up allowing Kenny an oppurtunity to shine and play a ro...

Re: Mrs. Zimmerman from World War Zimmerman

Where the hell does the episode say that she had a Kickstarter page or worked for that site? Oh wait... The woman in "Go Fund Yourself" has whiter skin than Mrs. Zimmerman does. She does? That'd be an error on my part. To answer the original question, no, she's a generic background character visibl...

Re: *2103: Holiday Special* Pre-Air Discussion

Ah, ancestry.com's AncestryDNA service. And Randy looking at the commercial for it. Now I see the link between Randy and the Native American. The title also suggests reference to 23AndMe, a very similar website that also was part of the advertising campaign for Despicable Me 3 . The name for that c...

Re: *2102: Put It Down* Post-Air Discussion

Good to see you again, Niels, even if we disagree on this episode. Well, going through the back catalogue of episodes, certain characters have a tendency to appear close together a lot (Tweek and Craig being one of them). Why this particular ship became so popular, I don't know, but it happens with ...

Re: *2103: Holiday Special* Pre-Air Discussion

Intriguing description. 4 ½ out of 5 stars. A- The description keeps giving me images of parodying Rotten Tomatoes scores and bad movie reviews. I'd love to see that parodied, but the plot itself doesn't sound like any recent movies... Is Randy the man falling in love with a Native American man? Tha...

Changing Thoughts on Episodes

Are there any (specific) South Park episodes (or games or movies) you used to love but just don't enjoy anymore? How about an episode you used to hate, but came to look at in a new way and learned to enjoy? That's what this topic is about.

Re: *2102: Put It Down* Post-Air Discussion

Only Craig uses this language. And he's uncharacteristically sweet around Tweek in private. Seems like he has developed genuine feelings for Tweek - although it seems ambiguous to me as to whether Tweek feels the same way. (Which is humorously sort of opposite of the common "fannon" viewpoint.). I'...
