Re: Characters Ranked by Speaking Appearances (Updated for S22)

Here's my tally now. Let me know where the discrepancies lie and I'll check them out. I've added the Tuckers, the Testaburgers, the Valmers, and the Stevens, even if Mr. Stevens has only spoken once, afaik. I've added a column for South Park Phone Destroyer , but don't have info on who speaks in th...

Re: Characters Ranked by Speaking Appearances (Updated for S22)

test 123 I wrote out a long, long response and the form expired. I'm glad this project and still going and still find it extremely useful and gain new insight with every new view. I did some math in my own head based on your note about the parents and sadly, none of the moms have quite hit the magic...

Best Character Exit

Despite "South Park"'s leniency with long-term continuity, most character deaths beyond Kenny have been affected as permanent -- Grandma Cartman, Ms. Crabtree, Chef, Ted the aide, Pip, Tom Cruise, Betsy Donovan, Leslie, Satan and likely Ned -- in addition to a few passings intended as permanent that...

Re: S22E10: "Bike Parade" preshow discussion.

It's a miracle! Stephen gets a promotion at work and a big surprise at home. Now I see why Jeff Bezos is using old technology: He's giving Butters everything he needs to win first place in the bike parade. :) This is the kind of preview clip I really like. Sheds more light on the episode. Bezos wan...

Re: S22E09: "Unfulfilled" postshow discussion.

There were some very leftist ideas being delivered straight in this episode with no mockery. These are not things I've heard from something written by Trey Parker before, and frankly I'm a little hard still. Dude, keep it in your pants, I- It's like finding out your girlfriend likes your favorite T...

Re: S22E10: "Bike Parade" preshow discussion.

I want to wonder if we'll see any other familiar kids in the parade, but I already know the answer is probably that we'll see other kids animated into the race but that none of them will have significance. No one's getting their Christmas packages? Maybe Mr. Hankey was right that we should've all be...

Re: Are the Houses in South Park made in 3D

I don't think they're three-dimensional in regular episodes, but yeah, they have a vague three-dimensional model of the neighborhood they've used for episodes like "The Magic Bush" and "Sons a Witches" to give the appearance of something flying, which demands a lot of irregular movements and angles ...

Re: S22E09: "Unfulfilled" postshow discussion.

I kind of sat out last week, but here I am again. This episode shares a lot of elements, more superficial than substantial, with season 17's "Black Friday" and to a lesser extent, the back half of season 19 -- the promise of something shiny and new (Black Friday sales, Whole Foods) that will help th...

Re: S22E07: "Nobody Got Cereal?" postshow discussion.

I revised Al Gore's page on the wiki and included reference to his thoughts, but Trey's expressed his opinion on multiple occasions in the show that climate change was a false scam - "Behind the Blow", as mentioned above, where Clyde's dad, a "geologist", has told him it's fake, and then in "Two Day...

Re: S22E09: "Unfulfilled" preshow discussion.

I notice in the secodn image, you can see one of that particular trio of violent bigoted rednecks, and the farmer's friend from "You're Getting Old", working alongside Stephen. Wonder if we'll see a lot of familiar residents working with Amazon in this episode. You know I love me some background por...

Re: S22E07: "Nobody Got Cereal?" postshow discussion.

Missing and presumed dead, given Gore's claims about MBP not leaving anyone alive once he attacks. I'm just really confused that Trey seems to be going out of his way to specify that Ned is taken or missing, but not dead, when the show has never been afraid (even in this episode!) to be direct abou...

Re: S22E08: "Buddha Box" postshow discussion.

I noticed a lot of little things in this episode, but I'll save it for the wiki. The responses I've seen so far in my corner of whatever seem a little chilly.

EDIT: I added my trivia to the wiki page last night.

I think he meant underwhelmed, unimpressed.
Hm, curious.

I saw something else interesting today, from tonight's LiveTweet: "According to Trey: after the vicious ManBearPig attack, Ned is missing." Not really sure what that's about.

Re: S22E08: "Buddha Box" preshow discussion.

I'm bracing myself for more irritating "Fatass thinks he's a victim." No one co-ops someone else's struggle better than Lardo and it always makes me want to see him kicked in the nuts. That said, "anxiety" is one of those massively over-diagnosed and poorly defined conditions with literally infinit...

Re: S22E07: "Nobody Got Cereal?" postshow discussion.

Anyways....I was underlaped. Sure it had a few funny moments (Sgt Yates and wife argument), but Al Gore got old fast and ManBearPig is a demon worse than Satan. Says he'll be back in five years....I can hardly wait *Sarcasm* I just came back to check this thread and I have to ask what "Underlaped" ...
