It will be on 5 gigahertz instead of 2.4 GHz. It will be backwards compatible with 802.11 a, b, g, and n. One router of 802.11 ac is available now. Unless your clients are also 802.ac at the moment, there is no need to buy it right away. Hopefully when 802.11 ac clients are common then the 802.11 ac routers will come down in price.

Apple has always been an early adopter of these new technologies and Apple's new iPads, etc. at the end of the year will all be 802.11 ac compliant. And Apple's routers at the end of the year will all be 802.11 ac.

f*ck Apple. Early adopters my f*cking ASS. They are behind on 99 things while ahead on ONE. Case in point: underpowered everything compared to the competition, with only their "retina displays" (gimmicky naming BS that is just a high resolution monitor) are ahead of any other thing on the market. When resolutions that high become the norm, they will be back down to second class item first class price status on ALL fronts yet again.

Now that Facebook has done there IPO, they want to make money for their shareholders. I'll start by posting a rumor; a rumor that may come true:

Facebook is looking (rumor time here) to have their own browser :o

Comcast Norton Security Suite Version 6.2 is available now! And it was released 4 days ago! As someone said, "Once again you do not have to download and install Constant Guard Protection Suite in order to install just the NSS, you can still obtain NSS V 6 via this download link and selecting No Thanks on the CGPS popup and then the Get It Now to start the NSS download."

Also, once it's installed, you can click on LiveUpdate many times until it tells you that no more updates are available. The latest version is 6.2.0.9! :)

The business social network, LinkedIn, was hacked by Russian hackers. More than 6 million passwords were "likely" stolen:

Adobe has now released Flash Player Version 11.3! As usual, you can check which version of Flash Player you have by visiting this link here. You can do this if you want to install Flash Player 11.3! :D

Thanks, angeldeb82. As usual, my automatic settings with Adobe Flash Player for Apple did NOT inform me automatically that a new Adobe Flash update was available. Only your posts in this thread let me know.

And as soon as you post this info I immediately update my Adobe Flash. Thanks so much, angeldeb82 :)

Well, I have to remind you that there are sound issues in Flash Player 11.3, as the sound and video are all skippy and choppy! I tried disabling hardware acceleration and disabling Firefox Protected Mode, but it STILL did not fix the sound issues! I ended up having to uninstall Flash Player and going back to the previous version, and the sound is back to normal again. So far, I'm still in Version 11.2 and I won't go back to Version 11.3 until the sound issues are fixed in the next update. :(

Updated Flash, saw my games go belly-up. Bejeweled Blitz won't load and Words With Friends is mute. Diamond Dash won't load. Collapse Blast won't load. Angry Birds won't load.

THANKS, FLASH!!!

Update: I ♥ Radio isn't loading either... or something. When I load the page, the volume is set to 0 and Flash won't load after that. Then I raise the volume to 100, then retry - volume is back to 0...

Heh, just tried YouTube... "An error occurred. Please try again later."

Well, on my iMac using Safari (latest Safari software), AND the latest Adobe Flash ver. 11.3, everything works! After reading the problems ppl are having with 11.3 under Windows I haven't any clue why it works on a Mac. But it does. :?

Well, at the Apple event today, no mention of wi-fi 802.11 ac :(

However, here is the hour and a half keynote speech of everything new for Apple.

Mountain Lion, OS X ver. 10.8 will be released next month.

iOS 6 in the fall.

Here is the keynote speech. SIRI opens the show :)

http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/1 ... index.html

EDIT

At least click on the link. The beginning is very funny. SIRI opens the show as a stand up comic

This is a keynote for developers. So one joke is: How many developers does it take to change a light bulb? Answer: None! That's a hardware problem. (then they show a drum set doing a rim shot from Apple's Garage Band program).
