I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Adobe Flash Player has been upgraded to version 12! You can check out this link to see which version of Flash Player you have if you want to upgrade it, okay?

Now for the bad news: The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals has destroyed Net Neutrality! That means that it will be game over for the Internet unless we act now! :cartmancry:

Hmm. That's odd. I was able to pull up the article before I updated my Flash. Now... :P nothing.

April 8th - the day Microsoft stops supporting Windows XP.

Get your updates in order, then take your XP computers off line to prevent viruses.

I recently found out that a lot of medical equipment, including MRI machines, use XP. I wonder what will happen as those machines send results to doctors by the internet after April 8 :?:

And no hospital will spend the money to upgrade all that equipment imho.

Aah, Windows XP, that thing certainly has lasted quite a long time. I myself only stopped using it when I got my new system two years ago, and even then I still have a partition where it lives for good measure. :P

Of course, just cause MS stops officially supporting it doesn't mean that people will stop using, as it has proven itself to be a tried and true successor to Win2K, which was quite solid for it's day.

Both Firefox 27 and Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.44 are released today! The former deepens its social integration, while the latter fixes its zero-day attack (you can check its link to see what version of Flash Player you have if you wish to download, okay?). I'm so excited!

Mkay.

Hey, anyone been having trouble with Chrome on their Android devices? I can't get it to start on my phone. Probably need to reinstall it or something.

No probs here, even though I upgraded Android from 4.2.2 to 4.3 a few weeks ago.

Mine updated to 4.1.2 of it's own accord a few weeks ago. No problems then
I rolled back to a previous version and it seems to work now. (my bookmarks are gone though. :( )

Idk if this was the crux of the problem or not, but my phong was in my pocket when I washed the car on Saturday. It didn't get damp (I don't think) but after I was done with the car and woke the thing up, it was in headphone mode. Power cycling did nothing for that. I left it off for a few hours and it worked again after that, but that's when Chrome started being buggy.

So after a documentary filmmaker got permission from a city in New Mexico to dig in their landfill, the feds stopped it by saying that an approved waste excavation plan wasn't filed or approved yet.

What are they looking for? Atari game cartridges that were dumped in the landfill in the 1980s

The game is based on the movie E.T., and the failure of this game is believed to be one reason that started to lead to the demise of Atari. The documentary people want to film the dig which is to be released by Microsoft for the Xbox One console, as well as a chance to enter a giveaway of anything that might be discovered.

Adobe has now upgraded its Flash Player to version 13.0.0.182! And it fixed four critical vulnerabilities in Flash Player! Please check this link to find out what version of Flash you have if you want to upgrade it, okay? Also, Microsoft has dropped support for Windows XP as it has released its final security updates to be installed via Windows Update. Well, I guess I have to say... so long, Windows XP. It's been a blast for almost 13 years, but now it's time to move on.

Thanks for the info, angeldeb82. My computer is supposed to update itself when the latest Adobe Flash is released, but the last few times this didn't happen :?

However, I knew about the updated flash thanks to your posts, so thanks again :)

I now have the latest flash version for my browser.
