Randome 70's music observation: Damn, John Denver put out a hell of a lot of albums. I was flipping through some records in a booth at an antique mall today, and came across a stack of at least 30 different albums either by him or featuring him. I wonder if they all came from one estate, or if they were culled from multiple ones... :/
I did manage to find a best of the Dire Straits, and a best of The Boomtown Rats though. Speaking of which, here's one of Mom's favorites: Sultans of Swing

Chicago's Smooth Jazz station WLFM (TV 6/FM 87.7) just took a nap today. RIP.

With the recent release of a sequel on CD, we look back on the original "Thick as a Brick" by Jethro Tull, forty years ago...

ALL 44 MINUTES OF THE ORIGINAL!

^^ Dude, seriously? SWEET!

At the risk of spamming the bbs (I posted the following in the What are you listening to again? thread), here's the song that finally gave Pink Floyd a direction after the departure of Syd Barrett. I say that because after they made this song, they started work on their landmark concept album Dark Side of the Moon. I give you..."Echoes"!
