I'd have to go with rock here. Old-school rap is tolerable, but a lot of the stuff these days...bleh. Have you guys ever heard Chinese rap? Now that stuff is crazy...

Rock is...oh, I dunno, it's so diverse. Here's some of my favorite bands... (some of it may not be rock, but I'd guess it's close enough)

- Black Sabbath (Ozzy era)
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Pink Floyd
- Disturbed (Nu-Metal)
- System of a Down (see Disturbed)
- Metallica
- AC/DC
- The Who
- Dragonforce (Speed Metal)
- Kansas
- Avenged Sevenfold (Metal)
- All That Remains (")
- Drowning Pool (")
- Leftover Crack (Punk)
- The Ramones (more punk than rock, but whatever)...

The list goes on and on...I love tons of bands...

Rap is just (sometimes utterly crappy) poetry with some monotonic backup beat that goes nowhere and a chorus with a hint of melody, at best. Rock is actually music. Although I think most of today's emo-rock/ punk-pop totally sucks as too. Actually, even rap has more of a meaning than some of todays so-called rock but in general, as a music genre: ROCK ALL THE WAY.

Yeah, some of those "Alternative" rock bands make my ears bleed, so classic rock/metal for the win.

Which of the above is Lincoln park? some combination is possible so it's not so exclusive. melody of rock singing of rap together makes win.

Linkin Park? That was one of my first favourite bands (played Hybrid Theory over and over again!). Now I like a lot of indie, alternative, rock, electronic and also some hip-hop and rap.

I chose rock though. Wasn't that hard of a choice. I like Eminem, but I love the Arctic Monkeys!

I like both, but there's more rock out there that I like over rap.

Definitely rock for me, but some rap songs have very nice music. That's probably the only thing I like about rap.

Rock dude. I like to bang my head and play my air guitar. Rap sucks ass-burgers.

I used to listen to Rap music back in the days when I was little, but it had gotten so horrible over the past decades. Therefore, I vote Rock music.

kinda funny but it seems there isnt RAp or ROCK anymore .... its all molding into one style ... bad club music
