Capitan Kirk.

Picard is way too dogmatic about the prime directive (calling it nature's plan and letting planets die as a result). He's also french and indulges in way too many boring yet artsy-fartsy Shakespear speeches. He didn't make the so bad it's hilarious ST 5 either. Without Kirk there'd be no Picard. Without Picard the Borg wouldn't have found Earth.

Charles Darwin. He was a better human; opposed to slavery, had a cool sense of humor, was not an insane aristocrat, etc. His impact on science was probably lower but he didn't get as big an ego over it as Newton did.

I wouldn't know, I pick the goose. Maybe its got something to do with a dream I had about me being pecked in the balls by an angry goose and me thinking it was the most painful thing I felt since... . I don't know anymore.
