"F***, what now?"
I've been waiting for this episode to air for like 4 months now. that 4 months felt like 8 months to me. So after I saw this episode, I was relived the wait was finally over. This next week is gonna take forever now.

Anyway I'd give this episode a 9/10. And for me it was an epic win.

Bro, the ungroundable episode sucked...I'm sad to now know that your basis of South Park is centered around the ungroundable episode...

Explicitly stating how the music and television industries get away with "selling sex" to children by painting a veneer of wholesomeness and purity on singers and actors gets my kudos.

I am not familiar with the Jonas Brothers' music although I have read about the purity ring controversy. I do not think that they should be mocked for making a commitment to refrain from premarital sex. Everyone is entitled to direct the course of their sexuality. The media is incredibly permissive about sex and marketers incessantly use sex to sell their products. Unfortunately, I think this creates a climate in which young adults who choose not to have sex are cruelly mocked. It also devalues the sexual act itself.

Ultimately, children and young adults should not be taking directives from singers and actors. They should be discussing sexuality with their parents and coming to their own conclusions about how they will live their lives.

So if the Jonas Brothers are sincere about their commitments, good for them but it is not their place or Disney's place to address the sexuality of children and young adults. What is more disturbing is that ultimately the interests of children and young adults are not a concern and selling a product is the main objective. It is a shame that a serious commitment regarding one's sexuality would join the ranks of many marketing ploys.

To the South Park team: Thanks for making me laugh and more importantly THINK about these issues.

Great season opener loved everything about this the boys just hanging out without the cartman/kyle arguments and mickey mouse was just great too.I loved butters line "Isn't that a wedding ring" 10/10 from me
Kyle: Why? How could you do this? There are people starving in Alabama and you give Cartman a million dollars?

Cartman: Line? Lines! I HATE LINES!!!

Give that another 8/10 for me, too!

While it may not have been the best season opener they've had, it was definitely better than it could have been.

1. Jonas Brothers spoofed. Keeping fresh with their jokes by mocking one of Disney's franchise bands.

2. The Disney "Boss". Come on, who else is it going to be? I would have settled for Donald Duck's fiery temper as an extra joke, but no, "It was all started by a Mouse" (Walt Disney, 1954), and that's the way it should be!

3. Kenny death. Doesn't happen much anymore, but when it does, you know they're trying to keep some of their classic humor by bringing up another reason for him to die.

4. Best reference gag at the end!

Kyle: Now we know.
Cartman: And knowing is half the battle.

Cute! Referring to the old GI Joe PSAs.

Overall, pretty damn good!

Kenny was awesome in this episode, despite his boringness. His whining was cute. I was waiting for him to die...The Jonas Brothers are so gay. :zombiekenny:
