I like wendy but she would totally queef around lisa simpson (lisa simpson had that cool 90's episode of the simpsons where she hung out at the beach with friends so I chose her)

So glad they used Wendy and while she caved she did care about Stan's thought on her appearance (which was sad)

Curious thought: Wendy stated she was the school's biggest feminist. If she was against woman being sexualized, why did she become a cheerleader?

I think just because someones a feminist doesnt mean they can't be a cheerleader. While some feminists think cheerleading is demeaning because it's typically a bunch of girls in revealing outfits cheering on men doing sports, I think that it can also just be a fun, athletic and social outlet for some girls. So I think Wendy could be a cheerleader simply because she enjoys it, and I think a huge part of a feminism is realizing some traditional roles are okay, as long as the woman enjoys them (like household cleaning/cooking etc.) Basically feminism is doing whatever you like, regardless of whatever gender is normally associated with that activity. And also, Wendy's not against women being sexualized, she's against photoshop setting an unreachable standard. And what does that even mean, "being sexualized"? I think another sometimes forgotten side of feminism is embracing our sexual freedom, and not being ashamed to have sex or of our not perfect, not photoshopped bodies. Of course, media and porn typically associate sexuality with perfectionism and photoshop and plastic surgery, which gives our society a warped view on female sexuality, making it shameful and taboo. Sorry got a little of topic there haha but anyway, I think that having an emotional ending to the episode like that is way more likely to encourage people to support the campaign to label photoshopped images than if they ended it with Wendy getting her way, so for that reason I think the ending was actually really smart.

To use an extreme example, you wouldn't wanna dress an elementary schoolgirl in a dominatrix outfit, would you? Wendy wants to remain a girl a bit longer, rather than face lusty boys. On the other hand, she did get breast implants once.

Well Wendy clearly does want to face the lusty boys, as she's been dating Stan since like season one haha. And of course I don't think kids should wear sexy costumes, but I also personally don't think people should be worried about showing too much skin or nudity because... well, whats the point? We're all just animals after all. Sex shouldn't be looked down on; our societies desire for perfection is whats wrong and unnatural. So I'm basically saying, if I were to see an image in a magazine of a photoshopped sexy half naked "perfect" girl, it would piss me off. But if I saw an image of a sexy, half naked, imperfect, not photoshopped girl, I wouldn't care because I think (as long as it's not in excess) sexuality is great haha. But you did take that out of context and maybe I did say that a bit bluntly haha but hopefully you get my point

I missed the Hobbit and am having to wait but was stoked to see Wendy. I love me a good Wendy episode. She's a great character. Also, get to see more of Stan usually, too, as well as some SP girls.

I'd have to say I agree with you. Even when she did have an episode mainly about herself, she seemed to have gotten mostly hate, so it'd be nice to see another Wendy episode.

I’d like another Wendy episode. She is one of my favorite female characters on the show. I can’t help but want her to be sexualized though. An episode about the girls in general going though puberty would be nice. The one about Bebe’s boobs was so funny and interesting. Wendy in The Hobbit was too standup-ish. What about her having fun as a young girl would want to and then just make it extreme. I would totally be okay with one episode a season to be focused on the girls of South Park. What about Wendy having trouble at home and wanting more freedom? There must be a lot of fun girly ideas for girl characters. I wouldn't mind Wendy growing her boobs also. Maybe some of the girls growing some fuzz?

I had thought about posting this in the Stan thread, but I think it related more to Wendy's than him. Wendy and Stan are hardly "done", despite what writing and episodes 2-3 will show us. Let's look at what we know/saw.

Wendy-
The final girl meeting prior to the massive breakups, Wendy vocally told her friends "I don't know if I can go through with this." while looking generally upset. She was eventually forced into following through, as we saw she, very reluctantly giving Stan her break up note.

Now keep in mind, they have been back together since the end of Season 11. So, she stood by Stan through ALOT. She didn't break up with for not stopping Cartman's bullying in Season 12 "Breast Cancer Show Ever", as Stan was in a stronger position as Eric's friend to tell him to ease off.

In Season 12 she also struck a level of insecurity and fear into Stan, who thought she'd leave him for Bridon Gueermo in "Elementary School Musical". She told him she wouldn't have a chance with him, but, I think Wendy knew what she had with Stan and wasn't willing to give it up.

In Season 14 she endured Stan's ignorance to facebook, as he had left his profile on default he appeared as single and wasn't friends with her. Also she was notably irate when Susan92 liked the picture of Stan in his bunny costume.

I think the strongest case was in Season 15 "Ass Burgers". When Stan was diagnosed with cynicism, everyone turned his back on him, but Wendy. She asked Kyle, his best friend for help, and was about to pitch an idea, until Kyle blew it off.

Stan-
Remember when got dumped back in "Raisins" waayyyyy back in Season 7? Stan became a soulless husk of his former self becoming goth. After recovering he had a passive hatred for Wendy as shown in Season 9 "Follow that Egg" when he told her off at the end of the episode, when she complimented his egg parenting skills.
This time around, Stan seems shocked, and reminiscing of what he had.

Ultimately, my point is that Wendy may have called it off for show, but her heart is still very much vested in their relationship. We'll see in due time Stan and Wendy will patch things up, likely when Skankhunt is outed as Gerald and clearing the boy's of South Park name

Yes, but I'm kinda put off on the character usage atm. Stan/Wendy has been irrelevant for episode 4, which you figure would've taken a bigger plot point. Unless they'll push them back in the light after Garrison/member berries' story concludes by Episode 8/9?

I have always wondered one thing about Wendy's last name, "Testaburger". When I watched south park in my language, Italian, I assumed that her last name was an Italian translation of her original last name which I thought had to be "headburger" because of her hat which kinda looks like a hamburger ("testa" = head) so it seemed to me some kind of play on words. But to my surprise I then found out her last name is actually "testaburger" in the original version, too. So, which one is it? Did matt & trey take that "testa" from Italian or Spanish? Does the word "testa" have a meaning English, too, maybe in slang? Or neither of the two? And in this case, does "testaburger" have a meaning at all or is it merely a last name?
He is the record!

Agreed.
Let me say some words concerning Wendy.
I note that over time the attitude to her as a prominent character in the world of South Park has become
more discerning and she really deserves it, since She has become more mature, more critical in her actions and judgments
not only in relation to the others, but also to herself.
If my spelling or grammar is not correct, i apologize for that, English is not my native language.
