Stuff I'm ebaying...

Postby BRMBug » Tue Jul 25, 2006 3:42 am

I thought I'd take a moment to mention some non-South Park related stuff I'm selling on e-bay right now.

Polaroid camera #1

Polaroid camera #2

In a couple of weeks, I'm gonna start listing some old vacuum tube radios, and maybe a few other newer-old electronics. I just wanted to get the word out because some of my last few auctions have been... less than successful.

Do they take videos or just pictures?

Just pictures. They take an old type of Polaroid film called SX-70, which is no longer made. There is a filter you can buy on e-bay to adapt them for using the newer 600 type film, but to get the film pack to insert into the camera, you have to cut off some little plastic tabs. There's a whole thing about it at http://www.polaroid.com/sx70/ . You also have to use a special electronic flash, or disposable Flashbars made specifically for the camera which can also be found on e-bay, unless you're taking pictures outside, or in really bright light. The SX-70 cameras were made between 1973 and 1985 or so. There's a website where you can enter the serial number of the camera and get an exact manufacture date, and these were both made in 1979.

Edit: here's a little more about the camera.
There are a bunch of websites dedicated to these vintage cameras. Just search for "SX-70".

Edit: SOLD!

No. I's Whitesican!

That reminds me. I need to get on listing some more stuff. It gets kinda annoying having to move stuff off of my desk and chair every time I want to try and use it.

I'm at it again. Most of it's camera accessories. And I'm still debating on whether or not to sell that Sanyo blaster.

Sirius sat. radio w/car kit

Cokin Creative Filter set

Sylvania flashbulbs

48mm close up lenses

Polaroid SX-70 accessory lens holder

Ok, so there's all of that stuff. Just if, y'know anyone cares or anything.

Kyle: Why? How could you do this? There are people starving in Alabama and you give Cartman a million dollars?

Cartman: Line? Lines! I HATE LINES!!!

No, but the tape deck does have APSS or whatever it's called. While it's playing, you can fast forward and it'll seek out the beginning of the next track by detecting the silent break in between.

Bug, I've bought plenty of stuff on ebay. However, I also have plenty of stuff to sell. I never sold anything on ebay before. I really don't know how to do it. I'm sure ebay makes it easy for one to sell stuff.

Any hints you may have as a seller would be appreciated. I would love to sell some stuff. I'll even post pics of what I want to sell.

Thanks in advance, Bug :)

Selling on eBay is easier than it sounds. I've sold tons of things on eBay, from cars to video games, and CDs to electronics. It's self-explanatory. Just go to the main page, click "sell", find the category of the item you want to sell, and take it from there. Enter a description, a starting price, how long you want the auction to go for, a "buy it now" price if you wish (extra fee involved), and add pictures (10 cents for each picture after the first one, which is free).
