Sad

Postby Aeonex » Tue Mar 27, 2012 7:52 am

This episode made me very sad. If anyone is reading this, It made me realise that racism is still a prominent thing within many countries. Or perhaps, made me re-realise, if that makes sense. I hope, with all my might, that racism is thwarted, in all avenues. Not only do I hope, but I will try to do whatever I can to stop it. Because, truly, racism is just a matter of ignorance.

I am not sure if the subplot about framing rich blacks is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek or not. Maybe it is supposed to highlight the absurdity of such an idea, but... OJ Simpson was NOT an innocent man, for god sakes. If I did not know any better, I would say there is actually an esoteric force acting to get rich black guys off the hook for crimes they DID commit.

After all these years, I still don't understand this episode. Why did they make Michael Jackson hide his and Blanket's identity? Was this a reference to something? Was there something in the media about how he was a bad father back in 2004? I've never been that invested in Michael Jackson so forgive me for not knowing. I only know the whole thing about him holding Blanket over the window in this episode thanks to references to it in other media.

MJ was reclusive but most celebrities are. MJ used to cover his face all the time too when in public, a lot like the way Richard Simmons is acting today, if you follow the news. Also there was this video of Jackson dangling Blanket over a balcony, which as I remember, may have helped motivate this episode. There is how after the Pepsi commercial accident that left Michael with burns, that he bleached his skin and had many surgeries and botches. There was the many accusations of child rape and Jackson had odd porno at his ranch he showed to children.

Jackson was a private person and a germophobe. Because of his popularity as a superstar singer, he had to hide his identity so people would not recognize him and so leave him alone. When he started a family he had to protect his kids as well, so people don't bother them either. As a germophobe he kept himself and his kids behind surgical masks so they don't get sick from germs in the air.

Because when Prince Michael Jackson II (Blanket) was born, children of MJ worse masks. Blanket may be a verb - to cover? Blanket - Covered kid, child under the blanket - metaphor of mask
Sorry for my bad English, guys. It's not my native language.

It was explained in the following manner, by the King of Pop himself, in his own words. "It's an expression I use with my family and my employees. I say, 'You should blanket me or you should blanket her', meaning like a blanket is a blessing. It's a way of showing love and caring." Blanket's official name is Prince Michael Jackson II

Something I would say, too. Only after the tenth beer though.

M. Jackson was a great artist but also a bit weird
