So here's the question of the day: Did Trey forget about Bradley, or did he omit him on purpose?

Bradley is gone, maybe forever. He found out in his last appearence that he's an alien from a dying planet and his real parents left him on earth so he could survive. Once he found out his real identity, he transformed into Mintberry Crunch, said good-by to his friends and earth parents, told his sister to f'off and then went back to his home world.

I like how in every family photo Henrietta flips her stupid parents off. Those conformist bags of demon jizz! No trace of Bradley anywhere, though. My theory is that everyone's memory has been erased and the photos have been doctored... by FOGNL. I highly doubt Trey could have forgotten the one and only superhero three-parter, let alone all the shablagoo surrounding Mintberry Crunch.

Although Trey had a reason to not include Alien Bradley, he probably did just forget about him given the number of characters that got forgot in the past.

...but he's appeared as a background character several times since then.

So Trey did this on purpose. We just don't know what that purpose is, heh.

What an odd name to use for the little Goth: Furkel. Furkel is slang for Fat Urkel, something the little Goth is not.

Epic, another unexplored theme by any artists, here well wounded by the surgeons Matt and Trey

The intro was a fantastic adaptation! And what else, Edgar Alan Poe? Wowww, that was special! The Pit and The Pendulum (for whom can be minor of age here, please read only with the help of an adult, because talk about torture inquisition, desperation, sorrow and death, and can be very depress, but great and splendid) and The Crow. Deep into the darkness of Goth and Poe. Deep into depression, the only way to fight against it.

Very helpful to teenagers understand themselves.

M&T made a full house, jack pot, high prize in this ep!!! But the final surprise was ok.

Above than average, 7.5 or 8/10 for me. I don't know what to say besides this:

The intro and promo at the end are awesome! Especially the promo. I love Kyle minus Cartman episodes. But I can say, Ike scared the sh*t out of me!
If you don't like the direction SP's going in, quit watching. There's nothing we could do about it, unless you're producer or higher in the authority chain. And they won't listen to fan ideas. It's not worth your time to only hate.

Bradley erased his parents' memories of him (and presence in the photographs) using his berry powers when he disappeared so they wouldn't worry about him.

I liked the episode. I'm watching it again now. One question I had was why wasn't Bradley in any of the pictures?

*looking at previous posts now* I'm happy I'm not the only one that wondered that. :D

I hadn't even considered the Bradley/Mint Berry Crunch connection this week. How soon I forget!

A missed opportunity for self-referential excellence for sure. Just one, five second scene would've ingratiated the episode into series canon. All it would need is Bradley avoiding some confrontation between his parents and his sister. Damn.

I feel like Such a Conformist after watching that! :P

Anyways. My question to M&T would be:

Why couldn't the last 10 minutes live up to the First 15?!?
The beginning was Awesome! The Ending...Lame!! :|

The whole "Emo/Goth" thing was a good play on. I especially liked the "OMG! no waaay!" I also didn't know his name was Michael...so I guess that's cool too! :o I also liked the idea that he had a chiniese mother who wanted him to be a "normal child"

and the Vampires coming back was cool...per se :P But I was almost wishing that Butters would have made a cameo appearance. The Poe Argumemts were cool.

But the whole ending....Shoot the plant that was made at Lowes?? And then the "Make me Scared/Camid Camera" like ending...was just Stupid.

Also to Nall: The Video on the website had a few minor issues, I think it cut off the ending :(

I'll give it a 7.5/10. Had potential to be much better though. *sigh*
RTL: I love being a dick to people for no reason. It makes me feel better about how my mom smacks me around with a frozen T Bone steak.

Hi guys! I have a question, does anyone know the name of the song at very beginning of this episode?
The lyrics are ''when the darkness...something something...close my eyes...something something...''

Thanks

ON PURPOSE :D

First, look at the pic of the "new" opening at this link

Now, here's why Bradley was deliberately excluded:

This is one of the best episodes ever of South Park's long run. The reason is that we all know the South Park Universe; here was an episode that focused on other South Park Citizens with a background of what the town is already known by us viewers.

No regular characters (that means "Randy" was absent as well as the boys); M&T didn't have to write about them and keep in character. I'll digress to an analogy first: I love to go to Las Vegas. Most ppl go there and stay on the strip. I like to go off the strip where the locals go. It's fun, few tourists, and great casinos that tourists don't even know about. In tonight's episode, we get to see South Park "off the strip" so to speak from my analogy, and see some fun, real, everyday South Park folk living their everyday lives. We get to see the Goths, the Vamps, and Emos without distracting of plots involving the major characters.

Bringing Bradley Biggle/Mint Berry Crunch in would be like bringing in a regular character - and that wasn't the point of this great episode. M&T had a great episode with an episode focused on South Park people living their lives in the South Park Universe that we all know and love.

And it all made sense because they were all caught up in a "got-cha" reality show! Leave it to M&T to parody what has been the norm in TV these past few years - reality shows and hidden cameras, and not so much sitcoms.

This episode was brilliant. Those of you who don't like the goths and want the regular cast - you missed the point of this episode. This episode was centered instead on the South Park Locals and their lives. Fantastic!

Now, look at that link I provided above again. All the townsfolk are there, including superheros from the Chutulu trilogy. And it was that very trilogy that Mint Berry Crunch was featured. Yet he is DELIBERATELY AND PURPOSELY missing from that opening shot in that link, as well as the rest of the episode. I mean, there were so many pics of the family living in that house with Henrietta. More pics then in any other house in South Park. And none of the pics on the walls had Bradley in them. This episode about locals was made with Bradley Biggle in mind, and in particular, in mind to exclude him in order to focus on current real life reality shows and other people living in South Park, the goths/vamps/emos.

[And I like Egar Allan Poe's Raven on top of the South Park Sign in place of Kenny, who is in the shot, only he's standing with the boys].

To say this episode is an 11+/10 is an injustice. It gets a higher rating. M&T really came up with something different that surprised us all - not only an episode about other South Park locals going about their business, but in order to keep Bradley Biggle out of such an episode (so that plots dealing with him wouldn't distract from this "local resident" episode), he was merely ignored as not even being in existence at all as a character in South Park.

But this has been done before. How did we feel the first time Kenny died? Then our surprise that he was brought back the next week. Then he died EVERY week and came back the next. So M&T certainly CAN bring Bradley Biggle/Mint Berry Crunch back again in another episode WITHOUT EXPLAINING HIS ABSENCE IN TONIGHT'S EPISODE. That is part of what makes South Park great and why it's such a great show :)
