Re: *1514: The Poor Kid* Post-Air Discussion

call a paragraph "a long rant." I'm not taking the people here seriously, trust me. Just the opposite of that. Your two paragraph rant was much longer than most posts in this thread, and far longer than my response to you. Your string of follow-up responses, also fairly long and also fair...

Re: *1514: The Poor Kid* Post-Air Discussion

I don't have time to reply to the rest of you. Anyway, I stand by what I said. It's really strange to take a show that is meant as total farce that only uses story as a means to set up the next joke, and take throw-away, background or tertiary characters and try to flesh them out into drama. If it m...

Re: *1514: The Poor Kid* Post-Air Discussion

Jesus Christ some of you guys take this show waaay too freaking seriously. How do you write fan fiction about South Park?? weird. And not just in this thread but in others... some of the posters to this forum get so emotional about characters dying or being injured or going through emotional distre...

Re: *1514: The Poor Kid* Post-Air Discussion

Sorry for the spam. I don't wanna get in the middle of a fight, but I think it's normal for someone to feel bad if their favorite character (fiction-books, movies, TV, ect) got killed off. Yeah, of course that's normal. I got misty myself when Chef was killed off, both because we all loved the char...

Re: *1514: The Poor Kid* Post-Air Discussion

I thought it was just a so-so episode. Par for the course for the show over the last 3 years or so. The season finished relatively strong IMO compared to the last 2 seasons as a whole, but still weak next to the shows hey day and I think in retrospect most of us will end up agreeing that it would h...

Re: *1514: The Poor Kid* Post-Air Discussion

So your reaction here is to go on a long rant about how people shouldn't be at all emotionally involved in one of their favorite shows? You are taking fairly typical fan reaction - and yourself - way too seriously. No my reaction was to write a pointed response to a long rant. Your reaction was to ...

Re: 200 and 201 not on season 14 in Europe

Well, two things.. 1. unfortunately there are a lot of angry murderous Muslims living in Europe right now, who are so eager to show the world how peaceful their religion is that they will kill anyone to make their point. and 2. Europeans are generally a bunch of pussies. These two things together pr...

Re: Everyone has a crush... But what about Eric?

He pretty obviously had feelings toward Wendy in the Chef Goes Nanners episode. It was one of the few times he showed real vulnerability. And as someone else mentioned there was a girl named in the Tourett's episode as being his crush. Patty Nelson, I think? Her response to this revelation: "ew...

Re: *1508: Ass Burgers* Post-Air Discussion

As a conspiracy theorist, I interpreted the message of this episode rather quickly and found it to be genius. If I misinterpreted it wrong, eh, that's on me... but after the show ended, I thought, "Wow... either you got it and thought it was excellent, or you didn't get it, felt mindfacked/con...

Re: Episodes that make you cry

the scene in the movie where optimus prime dies and turns grey always gets to me....oh wait..nevermind that isn't south park...the only episode that made me cry was "you're getting old". When I was 8 years old and watching that movie for the first time my 30-something year old mother was ...

Re: Episodes that make you cry

Okay I can understand: You're Getting Old Return of Chef Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics Raisins but.... Kenny Dies.. really? They were so obviously aping "very special episode" episodes of other shows... playing it straight the whole time even though it was ridiculous because Kenny up to ...

Re: *1508: Ass Burgers* Post-Air Discussion

So... Stan 'developed' asperger's due to a flu shot?? This was obviously a joke. 1. he didn't really have asperger's 2. in the context of the episode, asperger's was a fake syndrome anyway 3. Mr. Mackey diagnosed him based on no evidence at all. Just the fact that he had a flu shot one year prior.....

Re: *1508: Ass Burgers* Post-Air Discussion

I would respond to your post(which was very nice), but you would need to correct your belief that they are sick of the show since they have stated several times since the first run that they aren't. I'm not correcting anything. Yes of course they love the show and consider it their baby (the object...

Re: *1508: Ass Burgers* Post-Air Discussion

My take on the episode: I was kinda psyched to see that it was a direct continuation of the mid-season finale. I was wondering if they were just going to act like it never happened, which would be very typical of South Park. South Park in general is very episodic. Everything resets. Even if a charac...
