Re: What Did You Do Today?

Today I went to the local mall. And I saw a PERUVIAN FLUTE BAND. Oh, alright it was just one guy but everything else was the same. I had to quickly call up my brother and tell him to check it out... It's not actually such a big deal to see one around here, but so soon after the episode I thought it ...

Re: A south park parody of DUNE

I think it'd be sweet. Only problem is that I'm guessing most SP watchers haven't read Dune, so they'd be like "....uh.....why is stan putting his ass in a mystical pain-inducing box which is probably an allusion to something that would be funny if I understood what it was..."

Re: What do you think the boys will be like as teens?

all you gotta do is check out the dark side of this fandom...By this I mean, some SP fans like to write fanfiction and draw art of them as teens (so as to avoid the pedophilia aspect). But anyway, from my internet lurking I've found a few plasuible predictions... I like Stan and Kenny's representati...

Re: *1208: The China Probrem* Post-Air Discussion

Season 12 is decent so far. Not the best, but if you always expect the best you're almost never going to be happy with what you get. ^^^^ What he said... I also think the episode could have a little more exciting, but it's not like it falls short of other SP episodes. I'm just happy to have SP back...

Re: ever see anything paranormal?

I also thought I saw a person in my living room once...sheeeet, it freaked me out so bad. Off topic, but I hate it when you walk into a room and those cut-out people or mannequins are hiding away in the corner and you jump up and are like "I didn't do nothin"... I really don't believe in s...

Re: Immunity to South Park Satire?

I can see where you're coming from (for example, today I was re-watching that Kathy Lee Gifford episode, and the pace is a lot slower and the jokes more obvious than eps in season 3 and up) although I'm not sure if that's the sole reason. I do agree now that novelty has something to do with it as we...

Re: Immunity to South Park Satire?

Reading over my post now, I guess that is a very logical answer. Still, though, I'm quickly turning into a flabby lump of white trash the less I think and the more I just enjoy. Quite a depressing resolution...quite... and for some reason I think of Cartman when he's in one of his "greater than...

Re: Hello, New Members! Introduce Yourself Here! :)

Hello to the 1 person who will read this. I'm a recent convert to southparkianism (or whatever), and I'm loving it. 16, soon to be 17, female, living in Northwest USA. if anyone knew I watched South Park they'd probably be in denial for a few years and have to attend a rehab center. I'm not an eliti...

Immunity to South Park Satire?

This has been bugging me. Have any of you found it easier to follow the satire and the cynicism in the first few seasons? If not, then maybe in the first few episodes you saw? For example, Big Gay Al is just another hilarious plot device to me now instead of a gut-wrenching stereotype of gay people....
