Re: "South Park: The Stick of Truth" in Development Hell

Bah...what on earth is the point of that? There's no artistic merit in making a video game. And now they're doing a movie for Book of Mormon...talk about another pointless project. Why make a movie that rehashes the same concept? If you've seen the musical, surely you've seen the movie. I'm going t...

Re: What's your fav cartoons on CartoonsNetwork?

I've had some trouble believing it's intended for children. As well you should. I don't know of any children's animated series that began life on the Internet. Adventure Time airs in the early afternoon, in a children's show timeslot. And they have had to change a few things at the behest of the ce...

Re: What's your fav cartoons on CartoonsNetwork?

I haven't really been liking most of their cartoons for kids, but in the 90's there were so many good cartoons that might have been made for kids, but adults could enjoy them too. I recommend giving Adventure Time a whirl. It has a very long page on tvtropes about all the crap it gets past the rada...

Okay, that would actually be pretty brilliant. If they do an episode on it, I hope they do something like that.

Re: What's your fav cartoons on CartoonsNetwork?

I'm pretty into Adventure Time and Robot Chicken. Um... I liked Powerpuff Girls, I haven't watched it in a while. I liked Johnny Bravo. I even liked Baby Blues, which I think ran for a whole two months. I like Futurama, but don't go out of my way to watch it, which means I don't watch it much. I wis...

Re: Mysterion Rises The Final Cut

I think I would have the Kenny/Mysterion story go something like this: Volcano (establishing the continuous deaths; he seems like he's died a few times, and then finally does) Pinkeye (for the zombie Kenny) Starvin Marvin (I think this is the first appearance of his older brother Kevin) Mr. Hankey, ...

Re: Randy Randy Randy Randy

He, Randy and Garrison probably deserve one before Kinnnee. ...No. Kenny has a fantastic story arc at this point, actually. I would love a Kenny collection. (I have my own version, but when the episode player here breaks, it takes a lot of disc changing to pull off. Having them all in one place wou...

Re: Mysterion Rises The Final Cut

Hmmmm.... I object to the exclusion of 'Cartman Joins NAMBLA' and 'The Poor Kid.' (Also not quite seeing the relevance of 'INsecurity' in the Mysterion arc, but that's alright.)

It's probably at least aping the style of something from Schindler's List, if it isn't directly from the soundtrack itself.

Re: The last time you cried.....

It's weird, I've been here for months but I haven't really noticed this thread before. Now I see it when I've been crying off and on all day. This morning I got a call about a friend of mine. My oldest friend. She died last night. She was twenty-five. I've known her since she was ten. We grew up and...

No, he escaped. The woman who thought he was her son Billy, she was killed.

I believe the "death" in that episode refers to Cartman's head exploding Scanners-style. It was clearly a visual metaphor, but I've seen people insist that he died there.

Re: Recent Censorship of Comedy Central Reruns

Yeah, that's not a recent thing at all. If it's before the watershed, or if it's on another network (even after the watershed) the most "extreme" things are edited out. There are certain episodes that I don't even see in most reruns or at all in syndication, presumably because too much of ...

Are you sure? Because I've seen petitions and protests against that very thing. They always get built anyway, of course.
