Re: Can we return to non politic-sarcastic SP?
So do the same thing they've already done? Meh. I've been a fan of a lot of ridiculously long-running series, some of which I started watching as a child. I've seen them all evolve and change; go thru golden ages and droughts of mediocrity. Every time one of these shows tries to go back and do somet...

Re: Cutting The Cable - How do I watch?
Hulu's got 'em the next day? I'm not exactly sure. I do watch eps on Hulu, but not necessarily the new ones right away. I'm pretty sure they are there later that same week. I'm always using other internet sources to watch first run episodes. I use Hulu as my easy access to old ones, mostly. But I se...

Re: S23E09: "Basic Cable" preshow discussion
Looks like we're going 'inside baseball' this week. Sometimes shows can't help but make episodes about making television. They're in that world all the time so you write what you know. South Park has done it before as have many of my favorite shows. If they can make it accessible, it can be really e...

Re: S23E08: “Turd Burglars” Postshow Discussion
Three of the four main boys in some sort of caper? I like that very much. They did some nice little equal treatment by having all those ladies sh*tting themselves. They treated their female characters no different than they've treated the male characters when it comes to the toilet humor. That's a d...

John Witherspoon, Actor and comedian, 77 https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/movies/actor-comedian-john-witherspoon-who-appeared-friday-dies-77-n1073756 RIP to Grandad from The Boondocks. :( (Ironically, there's also an actual person named Robert Freeman who died just a few a days later, I see in t...

Re: S23E07: "Board Girls" postshow discussion
Holy cow, what happened Will? There's like 10 post show threads! Anyway, pretty good take on the absurdist extreme of transgender issues. Not being into all the crazy-ass board games out there, I have no idea if the idea the that girls are better at them then boys is a thing. But it did provide a gr...

Re: Trump and the state of the show
The attack on the Imaginationland I see as reference to America's justification for invading of Iraq because of what was imagined could happen. The Bush regime imagined some wacko scenarios where Saddam Hussein A. had chemical weapons and B. gave them to Islamist terrorist to use against America. Th...

Re: {The coming of South Park ASWESPEAK]}~
Matt and Trey do almost all of the voices, so if you want it to continue after they are done, the entire show would need recasting. That would be jarring at best.
In my experience, when a good TV show tries to continue after the original creators are out, it inevitably sucks.

Re: S23E06: "Season Finale" postshow discussion
They really tied things up like it was an actual season finale. They completely followed through on the Mexican Joker. He even gets away after being wounded to return at some future date, I'm sure. A quick shot of Kyle shouting "A-ha!" would've been spectacular. Everyone partying with Randy in jail ...

Re: New terminator suxx balls
The problem with the third one is that it's a rehash of T2. Same plot, just different stunts and fights. Try and stop Skynet before it starts while Ah-nald defends Johnny the Wunderkind from a more advanced terminator. They just made Jesus Christ, I mean "John Connor", old enough to have a love inte...

Re: New terminator suxx balls
Did you think it was going to be good? What about the concept or previews indicated it was going to be at all decent?
I think you're just mad at yourself for getting fooled by another hack Hollywood rehash of nostalgic tripe.

Re: S23E06: "Season Finale" preshow discussion
Makes me wonder if they are reacting to feedback about Tegridy Farms or if they're simply out of ideas for the concept.
It would be a funny move to have Randy spend the rest of the season in jail and periodically check in on him for a scene or two in each remaining episode.

Re: S23E05: "Tegridy Farms Halloween Special" postshow discussion
The best moment was the reveal that Randy and Towelie were hallucinating all those dead cows and Winnie the Pooh and so on. Everyone gaslighting Butters for the mummy tearing sh*t up; that was frustrating. I suppose that was the point, but it's the kind of thing you see married people droning on abo...
