Re: Do you believe in an afterlife?

I think you have to be a bit mental to believe in that sh*t or a retard. Fair enough. How about this? "Anyone who doesn't believe in an afterlife must be a bit mental or a retard." I wouldn't get away with that, would I? I hope I'm speaking for everyone whose grieved or mourned. Actually I hope I'm...

People who treat listening to music like its a talent, and brag about the music they listen to. And talk about how they're better because they listen to a larger variety of music. Duh! Talent is making music, not listening to it. I don't care if you listen to both jazz and heavy metal, or you listen...

I had a gut feeling you would divide my post up into quotes and react to them seperately. Anyway, I also had a feeling you would say science is different from the Bible and the tarot because you would say science is absolute. I was wrong. I was just getting prepared for it, and trying to point out t...

The conclusion I drew as a result of it was that my dad really did visit me. I didn't call it proof. I did however say that in the past it was proven to me that the paranormal is real. I never claimed I could prove it to anyone else because frankly, I don't care enough to even attempt to prove thing...

Okay, but you did get offended by a small remark I made a year ago that you said was bigoted, and you even seemed to get offended when I said I saw my dad in my sleep (as if I was trying to prove I was right because of that idea). You then described it as an "idiotic claim" and you said I was trying...

I guess new age polytheism has its Tarot thumpers, just as Christianity has its bible thumpers. In both cases, you've got literal-minded people who are using something for a purpose it was never intended for. Perhaps you're right, since both Christians and Occultists can generally be bad people, bu...

People don't watch TV anymore anyway. For example I was disgusted with today's music until I realized MTV wasn't the only supplier and I found good music on the internet.

I wish people would stop bringing Penn and Teller into their debates. You skeptics are only hurting yourselves by bringing out your worst examples. Like I'm expected to listen to some fat loudmouth and his mute little sidekick? All they can do is magic tricks. I can't deny that they're smart, howeve...

I don't think Taranis_Music was really trying to dismiss it as crap. However, even after M00n's post, Big-Will still did exactly what she was talking about. Will, I think there's a difference between you and I. I've tried the cards. You probably haven't. If I'm wrong then I sincerely apologize. But ...

Because apparently tarot cards not only need to be "personalized" but you have to develop a certain talent for reading them. The more experience, the more accurate they become. That was what I was told six months ago when I bought the deck and now I'm seeing it come into play. Also, just owning them...

Like everyone, I get odd dreams most of the time. A lot of the time though I have f*cked up dreams where I wake up feeling really ashamed for having them. I'm getting too personal but I think it was less than a week ago when I had a nightmare about my dad's casket being dug up, and then these little...

I realize that a lot of people want to be fooled, but I can assure you I'm not one of them. I already said I was starting to completely give up on tarot cards (and contrary to popular belief, they're not all about similar things). I was getting senseless readings at first that had nothing to do with...

Anyone else

into the occult?

Right now in the process of making a voodoo doll, just need Spanish moss.

And I'm finally getting readings from my tarot card spreads that actually make sense. I think I might be getting better at using them.

Is the internet bigger than television?

I've read several articles stating the same thing---what was mainstream five years ago is different from what's mainstream now. MTV isn't even a big deal anymore, because it's rumored that there's some statistical evidence that YouTube is even bigger than it. What do you people say?
