meta-references in season 20

Postby mario88 » Sun Dec 11, 2016 10:58 am

there are many of them in season 20, which is interesting per se, so i thought they deserved a thread of their own. i won't list them all, as i don't want to rewatch all the season just for this.

i'll start, then i (or someone else) will add the others when they pop up in our minds.

the first one that comes to my mind is in "Oh, Jeez", episode 07: Randy says "This isn't how it was supposed to happen" (beginning of the episode), which probably refers to the fact that Parker and Stone were preparing the episode counting on Turd Sandwich's win.

I like the point someone made in the other thread, about Ike response's when asked where he learned that all dirty language? "Daddy."

(For those unaware, Ike is currently being voiced by Trey's daughter.)

"I'm a satirist. I challenge people's point of views by being sort of edgy. And sometimes people can be like "whoa" and mistake that for hate, but it's not hate. It's pointing out the hypocrisies in our society."
