Oxford Collapse and Thunderbirds Are Now! are passing through in a couple weeks. I have vaction for a few days so I'm going to that. It's tempting to go to South By Southwest this year, but there's no way I'd have enough money to go down to Austin for a whole week.

"The Fray" had a concert across the street from where I live last week. As the tour busses sat out there, my friends and I stood in our doorway shouting variations of "The Fray sucks!" to the what I'm assuming were not even musicians but staff and concert-goers.

We're winners.

That tour is coming near me, too. The only problem is I hate Trivium, but Lamb Of God and Machine Head are awesome. I've never heard the other band, Gojira.

Here's my concert schedule for this year so far...

2/21 - Carbon Leaf
2/22 - Apples In Stereo
3/7 - TV On The Radio
3/10 - The Walkmen
3/16 - Akron/Family
3/17 - The Thermals/The Hold Steady (I HAVE to go to this show, it's going to be f*cking epic.)
5/7 - The Kooks
5/23 - Tapes 'N Tapes (Seen them before when they opened for The Futureheads, but it was a good enough show for me to see them for cheap again, even if it is all old stuff again.)

^ I like the Kooks. That should be a pretty cool gig.

Here are the bands I'll be seeing at the Give it a name festival......
Main Stage:
The Used
Juliet & the licks
From first to last
Mindless self-indulgence
Cry for silence

Side Stage:
The Sleeping
Kill Hannah
Lost Alone

H.I.M. is the reason I brought tickets, but It's always cool to check out new bands.
