Mmmm,
Who wouldn't miss the spice girls?
About 99.7% of everyone. Yet another group of marginally talented (at best) media personalities wrapped up in a nice, gimmicky package.
What were there monikers again? - Tarty, Whory, Ditzy, Dirty, and Screechy?

The 90's version for kids of Bevis and Buthead on Nick:
'What ya gonna do tonight Brain?
Same thing I do every night, TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!'
'The Pinky and the Brain
The PInky and the Brain
One is a genius, the other's insane...'

Yes, they passed on Booby, Slutty, Smelly, Bitchy, and "The Beave".
I was so horny for Gwen Stefani in High School, and still am. Of course, I don't know anyone who isn't/wasn't.

So I think it's fair to say that now instead of this being a 90's thread it's becoming ruined by the spice girls...just like the 90's. Mmmm, thats why I love it. Sure their talent was marginal but they had some hot asses to marginalize.

I'll stick to my spice girls fever. However, I wont argue you out. Plenty more people need to be idolized other than a few lanky bimbos who raided their mothers cooking cabinet for a band name.
Oh and for the record it was....
Posh

Baby

Ginger

Scary

Sporty

Of course the spice girls could never amount to "fingerbang".

Sorry about the temporary derail; I was just having a little snarky fun. Seriously though, I don't look down my nose at matters of personal taste, especially with people who can maintain some objectivity. And I enjoy my fair share of banal pop acts too.

Fingerbang wasn't a 90's band - they 'debuted' in 2000.
Also, to pdfsmail, I don't think Beavis and Butthead were part of the Disney Afternoon.

LOL - i didnt write that well.. each line is supposed to be a different item from the 90s... B&B are not part of the disney afternoon.. though that would have been hilarious if would have appeared there one day...

EEEEE!! THE 90S!!! *does traditional spazzing that most people of my generation are required to do immediately upon the seeing of this thread*
I think it's agreed upon by most people here that the 90s cartoons/other shows were the best. My friend and I sat around watching Darkwing Duck on DVD a couple months ago.. it was the awesomest. ^^
Man, I miss Salute Your Shorts, too.. and Rocko.. =^(
And I'm pretty sure I'm the only female who grew up in the 90s who DIDN'T have an obsession with the Spice Girls.

Re: A genoration lost. The 90's.
For me, someone who grow up in the 80`s, the 90`s was (musically) a decade of experimient and re-orientation. I´m talking about things like Orb, Juno Reactor or The Prodigy. Things like Spice Girls may have been nice for many but they were form the beginning on arranged and target-group-specific.

DUDE! Download the N64 for the PC! It plays real "rips" of N64 games. I have it with Super Mario 64, South Park, South Park Rally, Star Fox... And I can download lots more at emuparadise.org
So, do you have a PC controller? If you don't , you can always use your keyboard.

(If you want to do this, I can make it easy for you by packing all the necessary files up in a zip file and uploading them to mediafire.com where you can download them.)
