Postby Ashes » Fri Jun 06, 2008 4:52 pm

Hi everybody !

I think France is the greatest country in the world, and this has nothing to do with the fact I actually am french.

Don't you agree ?

France is one of several European countries that seem to have the whole progressive, post-industrial thing figured out, for the most part.

Daft Punk, Air... I know there's a high-end stereo component company that's based in France, but I can't remember who it is right now.

Why France is great is pretty easy to explain.

France has the most international arrivals in Europe. It has a great infrastructure and is one of the political leaders in the world. They have a great economical and tourism policy and a well-structured governement.
Tourism is very important to France.

There are so many great things about France:
-Beaches
-The Alps (wintersports, walking, mountainbiking,....)
-Gastronomy (wine, champagne, cheese, cidre,....)
-Health resorts
-Hotels, campings, hostels,....(all have different categories concerning quality (eg. 1* hotel/camping)
-Citytrips (Paris, Lille, Lyon, Nice, Marseille,...)
-Corsica (and other isles)
-...

I've been to France several times. It's a neighbouring country so that pretty much explains it all.
I've been to Paris several times (once by bus and once by Thalys), Lille, Alpe d'huez, Cap Gris Nez, Calais, Metz, Nancy, Colmar, Strasbourg, Perpignan, La Plaigne, Avoriaz.

That's pretty much it for now.
Do want to visit loads more places in France though. So many things still to discover....
Everyone should visit France, several times.
Great country and very nice people.

Make sure you know and speak some french, you'll need it!
