I believe in the possibility of the world ending then, but I'm not gonna worry about it day to day. If it doesn't happen that's a huge relief. But if it does, there's no point in worrying about it now. Might as well enjoy life as much as you can.

you just made me think really hard
that rarely happens online

Glad to be of service exercising your brain :)

I suppose if this IS the last generation, we're pretty special, and if we live to be the last batch of humans, we should feelk pretty stoked we get to see the end times.

I just hope it is a little bit longer.

I want to be the Tom Brokaw that tells you that the world is over.....I want to say the last words ever seen on television before we die! :P

Or, atleast If it does end in 2012, just at least let me do a news broadcast or sports show on national television, if only for one time...

South park's contract extends past 2012, the world can't end until the show does

no it doesnt, the contract is for 3 more seasons besides this one, i heard and that would be
2009 - season 13
2010 - season 14
2011 - season 15

so the end of south park will be the end of the world, see? :P

So, if South Park continues on after that, the world will continue?
What if all of humanity is relying on South Park to survive?
Maybe Matt and Trey really did sell their souls to Satan.

No, Matt and Trey are the guardians against the apocylipse, like Peruvian flute bands, and South Park is like flute music, only good. That last episode was their way of telling us :p

Pip Tweek wrote:As much as I would love to see a REAL "new world order" come about as a result of these chaotic times, I feel that civilization is far more likely to enter a new Dark Ages than to rise to a new Renaissance...

I see the potential for a grand fusion between "western" philosophy and "eastern" philosophy. At some point, we all have to come to the realization that we occupy this planet, the world, together. We can't have enemies amongst ourselves. The time of greed and materialism, competition, and war may die as it should, and be replaced with compassion and love, creation and prosperity for all.

It's a great thought, but it's unrealistic to hope that the entire world, evil by nature, can become pure and good, most epecially if what you seek is an elite government to CONTROL the world. IMHO, the answer as I see it lies in "entangling allianes with none" and keeping the government out of our lives as much as is likely. Through the natural consensus of the people, this may lead to true change where it matters, the communities around the globe, so that people can be raised to know how their choices matter and how to help and communicate where they can. We're in charge of our own lives, and if we lead the globe into some "dark age" as you put it, it's, collectively, our fault.

As for some end-of-the-world gibberish, I'll live as I have and evolve as I would regardless.
Shh, I'm getting a raging clue.
