It's a simple answer: SOUTH PARK FANS care about Elementary Schools! Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny are all in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. We (on this forum) are all fans of SOUTH PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. We (the fans) all have our own ELEMENTARY SCHOOL experiences. High School is another topic, and you, Michaeloptv, can certainly start your own thread re: High Schools. However, South Park takes place in Elementary School, so this thread deals only with Elementary Schools and I am asking simply what was the name of your own elementary school, and where was it located. That's all there is to this thread. It is as simple as that.

South Park = Elementary School, so this thread merely asks you for the name of your own Elementary School. I hope this explaination helps explain it to you. If not, I will look forward to see what you post on your own thread you may create re: High Schools, which has nothing to do with SOUTH PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

I am guessing that you did go to elementary school, didn't you? You posted on this thread that you went to "Derry Village School." That's all I asked for. You do watch South Park with its Elementary School Settings, don't you? If you are more interested in High School, that's cool; I would be happy to view your own thread re: High School.

Let's see, my first school district divided grades up into different schools.

Howe School - Early Childhood/Kindergarden

Newport School - 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Beach Park School - 4th, 5th and 6th

Kennith Murphy - 7th, and 8th

HS - 9th thru 12th.

I believe it is somewhat different now. I only went to this district thru 4th grade.

For 5th grade it was Roosevelt Elementary which has K-5

6th grade moved from Elementary to Middle school the year after so I only went there 1 year.

Kenosha Unified School District #1 Kenosha, WI (5th-12th)

Second, for my 6th grade year, Cleveland, which was the site of a school shooting in '89. Afterwords, Michael Jackson paid them a visit. Here is the story:

The gunman drove his Chevrolet station wagon to the rear of Cleveland Elementary School in Stockton, Calif. He stepped out, carrying a Chinese-made semiautomatic AK-47 rifle loaded with 75 bullets. Carved into the AK-47's stock were disconnected words: "freedom," "victory," "Hezbollah." He wore a flak jacket under a camouflage shirt jacket that bore other words, one misspelled: "PLO," "Libya," "death to the Great Satin." He had placed plugs in his ears to dull the sounds of what he was about to do. Patrick Purdy, 26, a drifter with guerrilla-warfare fantasies, had returned to the % school he attended 16 years earlier for a final, cowardly assault.
Purdy set his station wagon afire with a gasoline-filled beer bottle. Then the man described in a 1987 police report as suffering from "mild mental retardation" walked toward the school yard. At least 300 pupils, mostly kindergartners through third-graders, were enjoying their lunchtime recess. Impassively, Purdy squeezed the trigger of his rifle, then reloaded, raking the yard with at least 106 bullets. As children screamed in pain and fear, Purdy placed a 9-mm pistol to his head and killed himself. When the four- minute assault was over, five children, ages 6 to 9, were dead. One teacher and 29 pupils were wounded. Those killed were all Southeast Asians, from war-refugee groups that make up 71% of the school's enrollment.

Why did Purdy gun down a yard full of children? "He just hated everybody," said Stockton Police Captain Dennis Perry. The more significant question: Why could Purdy, an alcoholic who had been arrested for such offenses as selling weapons and attempted robbery, walk into a gun shop in Sandy, Ore., and leave with an AK-47 under his arm? The easy availability of weapons like this, which have no purpose other than killing human beings, can all too readily turn the delusions of sick gunmen into tragic nightmares.

The children had earlier been traumatized by a sniper opening fire on their school. Many of those present reported that Jackson's visit helped them to feel safe again.
