Re: Religion, traditions.
well one is about god,
one is about evry not about god that is not related only to be beliefs of a religion and this one concentrates on the the traditions that our society has that are religious in origin.
Besides to I like the comercialism in the holidays no not really, then again the comercialism is basically just wasting money
, driving demand and inflation.

The items individually, not the whole cost. I should have specified, sorry.

Re: Religion, traditions.
I like the comercialism in the holidays
Not having read anything on the topic i can only give my oppinion, but it's my oppinion that many of the traditions society follows that are supposedly religious in origin, such as christmas and easter, were created in their current modern form (giving gifts, buying chocolate eggs) by the Market. I wonder which parts of the 'religious' festivals we celebrate today have a religious basis. It's a fairly topical question for a south park site, considering the topic of the short that made this all possible.
Wonder if it's still possible to start up widely celebrated 'religious' holiday still... and when the last such holiday was established...

All three of these can exist in one thread, so here we go.

Re: RELIGION [The stuff that I could understand made some sense]
A question I think we need to answer before we can say anything about religion is; what exactly is the definition of a religion? The word is notoriously hard to fully define.

Re: RELIGION - God is just the tip of it
And why should we go by that definition that might be put up maids?
I know that Sunday is considered as the holy day in Christianity at least, but why? What is the meaning of it? And why is it that I can't get a car on Sun. due to this?

Sunday is considered the Christian day of rest because it was on that day that Jesus rose from the tomb and appeared to his followers until that day's sunset. Every Sunday since has been a chance for his followers to gather and celebrate Mass in his name. Sunday is also considered the day of the New Creation, when new Christians are admitted into the Church. It's also the day on which the Church was born - Pentecost falls on a Sunday.
Why can't you get a car on a Sunday? Dunno.

You don't know your faith very well then. All I have posted you can find in the New Testament.
