Yes it is. Go to Google and type in USB TV tuner. And buy one. :o

Hmm. Well the only experience I have with tuners are desktop ones. Maybe the processor is fine, but you don't have enough memory Jackie. Do you have it "maxed out" as it were?

John: If you mean like a DTV box, I don't think so. You can go and get a usb tuner, I've seen some for like $30 at Fry's, but I don't know how good they are.

I recently upgraded Dad's desktop. It now has 4gigs of memory (amazing what a difference 2GB of memory made), and a 500watt power supply, and a Nvidia GeForce 9500GT vid card. I had to completely rearrange the cards in the thing to get it to fit, and I had trouble with it before. Originally, the tuner card was in the PCI slot right under the PCI-E slot. I figured that with a pcie vid card, I'd have to move the tuner down, but when I did that Media Center wouldn't see the tuner anymore, no matter how many times I reran setup. Weird part was that even though it couldn't find the tuner, I could still run the digital TV signal application and it'd see it to do that. :? I wound up removing the fax/modem and using that slot for the tuner, and running setup a few more times. Then for whatever reason it worked! Now I have a ton of room for the fan on the vid card. I'm even thinking of installing a squirrel-cage slot cooler fan just as extra insurance. The machine is on all the time after all.

So this is the tech thread? Uh, technological, I guess.

I recently was able to solve my problems with my DVD drive and stuff. I got a working DVD drive and a new keyboard, since a button was missing and they don't supply individual buttons. So my laptop is working perfect again.

Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.83 Ghz per core (I assume)
3.00 GB of RAM
250 GB WD Scorpio 5400 RPM HDD
Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset family
Windows Vista HP with SP2.

My computer is only good for one thing: Typing many replies on forums in a short period of time.

Is your computer plugged in directly to a cable modem or do you have a router?

Wifi... but meh, I have less than a week on this connection. Next time it will be cable modem. and it's going to be fast like this: whhhhhish!

It's working!

It's funny, in my boot menu, it doesn't show as "Removable Disk". it shows as "Sony PSP 1.0".

Regardless, it is copying the files and it went past zero. :)

It's brand-name Sony. Not Sandisk. :P

(I think... Unless I am deluding myself into thinking I have a better product than I actually do...)

My PC = fail.

Windows 7 installed, looks great, etc...

My PC fails though. The display drivers must suck. It isn't a speed issue, it works fast. But the screen jumbles up and freezes.

Oh well. I am making a custom XP CD now. My OS will PWN.
