Windows 3.1 programs brought back to life in the latest Internet Archive collection! Wow. It seems that I can play any kind of games, including Monopoly!

View-Master shows off the updated version of its iconic virtual reality viewer. This looks pretty cool.

I remember these (well the OG viewmasters). Nice! I wonder if etch and sketch will be the next vintage brand to lend their name.

Anyone here ever use a Windows Phone. I used it until a year ago when the app gap got too much and I popped over to an iPhone. I am not going to lie, the iPhone is nice enough to make me not miss the Windows too much. Question I, if any of you had one, and what would it take (if anything? to go back?

Idk. I went from an LG Android phone to iPhong, and it's pretty sweet. Main reason I did so was I use iTunes for music, and the android music player wouldn't read a lot of those files. I'd only go back if I started having major software issues with this thing.

That's the thing is once you commit to an ecosystem you almost have to stick with it or you have all this disjointed gear. My PC and Xbox almost make me stick with Microsoft.

After 20 years, Mortal Kombat's secret Ed Boon menus are uncovered in the Arcade versions of the MK games! Cool!

Makes you wonder what other Easter eggs are hiding in older games.

How many of you actually use the digital assistance? I'll use siri if I'm driving or for quick looks. Cortana on my PC to launch my music. I haven't had a chance for google now, so I can't say. Anybody use it in away that has made their life that much easier?
Re: Comp and Tech thread. Everything digital goes here.
I rarely use Siri. I will talk to my phone to make a tweet or search for something if I'm already in Twitter or Chrome.

Have not tried it yet. But I know it's handy, as my nephews and nieces talk to their phones to look up videos and other content.

When I'm on a job out of town, I will say: "Siri, set alarm for 6:30AM" (or whatever time I want to wake up). Siri says: "Setting the alarm. You're alarm's all set!"
or
As my phone was charging all night, it is of course plugged in in the morning. It must be plugged in to talk to Siri without pushing any buttons: "Hey Siri, what time is it?"
Siri says: "It's 6:30 AM. Good morning!"
or
If I need a timer set for whatever time, let's say for five minutes: "Siri, set timer for five minutes." Siri responds: "Setting the alarm." Sometime she adds: "The suspense is killing me!"
or
"Where's (whomever)?" Siri will use the "find friends" feature and pinpoint his/her location on a map. Not Google Maps, but on Apple Maps, if that person had consented to this "service."
Just a few things I ask Siri to do

You know, three days ago, Firefox 45 was released to the public, and it terminates Tab Groups. This should come as no surprise.

I wonder what happens if a person happens to call out Siri's name in their sleep?
"I'm sorry I did not understa... Oh nevermind, I understand completely. Good for you.
Finding laundromats near you."
