Comp and Tech thread. Everything digital goes here.

I've heard about our nuclear PC's before. I think we should just update them but the thing is that it would be too expensive and dangerous as new PC's would have issues probably and also could hook up to the internet. Our nukes are not online at all and there is no way to launch a nuke from the internet. I wonder how Russia's nuke PC's are and how other nations are? I guess we will just never use our nukes and so they are like a white elephant. I don't know how well our missile defense systems and setup is but I would think we would be able to take down some of the nukes from Russia before they hit us. Still we do put money in new PC's with things like radar and with the FBI and CIA. I don't think this is anything to be that worried about. Even with our PC's being very old we still flaunt the theory of mutual assured destruction and so Russia will likely never want to start a war with the USA.

Or just dismantle those useless goddamn things and save everyone the trouble. I would rather lose a war than commit genocide against the only habitable planet we know of. No nation is worth that sh*t. I'd rather the entire world be Communist Muslim Republicans than see another nuke detonated in anger ever again.

Fearing forced Windows 10 upgrades, users are disabling critical updates instead. That can't be good. As for me, I always keep two Windows 10 upgrade updates hidden to stay on the safe side.

Nonononono, don't disable critical updates! Do ignore recommended updates (that's where the Win 10 upgrade shows up.) MS is forcing the upgrade now that there are only two months left in the grace period. If you REALLY don't want Windows 10, here's what you need to do right now.

In other news, Chinese users are blasting the draconian Windows 10 upgrade due to Microsoft's abuse of power. Great.

I forgot to tell you that yesterday Adobe Flash Player 22.0.0.192 was released yesterday to fix a zero-day vulnerability. Once again, check out this link here to find out which version of Flash Player you have if you wish to update, okay?

Windows 10 Anniversary Update is coming on August 2, according to a post that Microsoft made, then quickly deleted. Pretty weird!

Speaking of Windows 10, it seems that Microsoft's nagging about upgrading your Windows PC is about to become less naggy now that a California woman won the lawsuit against Microsoft for its botched upgrade.

Another heads-up! Windows 7 and 8.1 patch KB 3173040 throws a full-screen Windows 10 upgrade warning. As usual, you may want to hide the Windows 10 nag patch again, just in case.

It was announced that VHS players and VCRs will be the last ones to be made this month. Soon, you'll no longer be able to buy a brand new VHS player. I miss the good old days of VHS players.

Microsoft is facing two new lawsuits over aggressive Windows 10 upgrade tactics. Well, this news came about a day before Microsoft's free Windows 10 upgrade offer expired. But still...
