One of my favourites is ALIENS. It seems more like an action movie compared to it's prequel ALIEN but it is still a part of a scary franchise and has it's scary moments. I would love to be in that movie with a Smart gun. :)

I just saw the name of one of my favorite artists and was surprised to learn that H.R Gieger designed the lifecycle of the
alien. (In one of the sequels it was named Xenomorph on a computer screen but it was only in the background so oddly
it's technical name is an easter egg.) I can't believe I missed that for so long.

but back on subject The last horror film I saw was Dead space downfall, When I first rented it I thought it would just be a promotional piece for the game but it was like a blend of Alien, The Shining and (Romero's) Day of the dead, It's also an interesting idea of doing
a serious horror film animated while trying to get the same reaction as live action film.

Sounds interesting..I can't see any reason why there can't be a serious animated horror movie. A lot of people think the horror genre is only the 1980's slasher films, but if they really looked at the genre, there are many different types of films.

I'm not one for horror movies, but one such film which can be classified as a 'scary' or 'horror' movie that I absolutely LOVE is "Christine". It's a 1983 movie based on the Stephen King novel about a demonic 1957 Plymouth Fury that kills anyone who comes between it and its owner. I must have seen that movie like 20 times.

I can see why you like Christine, since you like old cars. So what did you think of Death Proof, there were some awesome cars in that movie.

I actually saw Christine a few months ago on Fearnet for the first time in years. It was much better than I remember, and I didn't realize John Carpenter directed it. Awesome movie..I will probably get myself a copy at some point.

I actually haven't seen Death Proof, but I think I'll make it next on my list.

I haven't seen Basket Case yet. I want to, but all the video rental stores in my area only seem to have the more famous horror movies from the 80's. That is too bad.

I remember seeing the cover for that one at Movie Show Video. I seem to also remember seeing one a few rows over that had something to do with a guy who was just an amorphous blob, and his brother would haul him around in a wheelbarrow. Does that sound familiar, or am I just insane?

Carrie, that movie makes me so happy.

Also, Orphan, because it is so deliciously cheesy and lame.

Yeah I think that is what Basket Case is about..Not a very serious horror movie from the sound of it, but that is ok..I like 80's horror comedies.
