NBC is pulling the plug on his show. No word yet as to whether they're pushing Conan and Fallon back, but both have said they don't want to move. So... there.

As TMZ first reported, after the Olympics, Jay Leno will get his 11:30 PM time period back. We're told network execs have told Conan they will let him decide if he wants the midnight to 1:00 AM time slot. If he does, Leno's show will only be a half hour. If Conan walks, Leno will get a full hour, informed sources tell TMZ.
Our sources say Conan has not decided what he wants. We do know he's pissed, because he was given no advanced warning this was coming. Conan's people told NBC they are considering the offer. Translation: Mr. O'Brien -- I have Rupert Murdoch on line one, Stephen McPherson on line two, John Landgraf on line three, Jeff Wachtel on line four ...
We're told if Conan gets another offer, even though NBC could block the move, they will let him go and give Leno the full hour.
It sounds like should Conan decide to leave, Fox is showing great interest in acquiring him. I'm all for this, as NBC is royally screwing Conan with this, and he hasn't been funny on the Tonight Show. He's not a 10:30 timeslot guy.
I wonder what people will watch: Letterman at 11:35 then switch to Conan or Jimmy at 12:05? Where I live, King of the Hill comes on at 12:00 and 12:30, so I'll stick with that no matter what happens at the three networks.
Wait: There won't be any King of the Hill because where I live it's on FOX, and Conan might go to FOX. This has me stumped.
Conan should move to Fox. He could cut loose and have a show more like his old one, Masturbating Bear and all.
Also, FOX affiliates would have to agree to give the hour back to the network instead of syndication...it's a mess
I doubt Conan would be too much "riske" on Fox. However, an earlier time where as the news is at 10:00. He would be competing against the other network news
I think we found ourselves a winner....I am just WAITING on Conan. I hear he will leave, but he has to make it official!!!

I am sorely disappointed.
Okay, that was totally funny.
*slow clap*Oh hi. So, how are you holding up? Because I'm a potato.

That means that CBS will be the odd-man out with David Letterman starting at 11:35.

All the cool people are watching Colbert at 11:35 EST and don't care about the broadcast networks and their feeble attempts to entertain us in that time slot.
You read it! You can't unread it!
He's a bit old for me anyway.Jay C wrote:I came in here expecting a news story about him revealing he was a homosexual.

Tis sad that Conan is being carried away by this. I wish him the best of luck at FOX (if it does happen...)
Apparently he has no offers, and if NBC cleans up their problem he won't leave.
Also, he's sorry about his hair.
