I'm sure this song has already been mentioned in this thread (or maybe not); you'll have to excuse me if it's a repeat - I've been spending too much time in the various pre-air and post air threads and the mega-tread about who is Mysterion, and the 11/02/2010 blog about a new character known only to Mysterion: The Mighty Penguin.

So without reviewing this 1970s song thread, tonight on the car radio, please enjoy what I heard. It's from the year: 1977:

Kyle: Why? How could you do this? There are people starving in Alabama and you give Cartman a million dollars?

Cartman: Line? Lines! I HATE LINES!!!

Are you ready to get Kool? :D

One of my favourite chill-out songs.

Great for those recovery sessions,on Sunday mornings, with friends. :D

A triple-shot of Tony Orlando and Dawn:

One of Dawn went on to do sitcoms during the '80s and '90s. Telma Hopkins was on shows like Gimme a Break, Family Matters, and more.

Though the Seventies were pretty much defined by rock music and the playlists were somewhat less diverse than the '80s, there were some fantastic sounds from this decade.

I've noticed that many songs from the '70s don't follow a typical song structure; they'll have 2-minute long intros, bridges, or breaks, unusual sound effects, inconsistent choruses or lack of one, etc.

Here's a good example from 1971:

The Who - Baba O'Riley (Teenage Wasteland)

OMG, you guys, Freddy, Bug, and Angus...your last few entries have all kicked ass and is what this thread was made for.

Bug - Hall and Oates - She's Gone...

Compare the introduction of that song...with the introduction of this song...

10CC - I'm not in love.

That groove is more apparent at the end, but it's the exact same chords..
