Kyle: Why? How could you do this? There are people starving in Alabama and you give Cartman a million dollars?

Cartman: Line? Lines! I HATE LINES!!!

Originally recorded in 1990, here we have a live performance of "Walking on a Wire" by Lowen & Navarro.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWXMlGEkCcU

This concert was performed two years ago, and it is the last performance for the duo. Eric Lowen, who had been diagnosed with ALS, is no longer able to play guitar or sing, so his kids joined them on stage for this one.

These were the guys I saw live in Seattle, '95. Their encore was unforgettable, where they came out in the middle of the room, no mics used...or needed. Beautifully well done, breathtaking performance...

A sad end to a great era. Best of luck to Eric.

From '94, though the song may be a bit older than that.

"Lady Let It Lie" by Fish:

Interestingly enough, the chorus lyrics came into my head when all the talk about Chaz Bono came about, and how little kids wanted sex changes as well (and we're talking 4 or 5-year-olds)!

Seventh Avenue is an epic power metal band from Wolfsburg, Germany that formed in 1989 but didn't start releasing albums until the mid 90s. The lead singer, Herbie Langhans, also happens to be in an 80s cover rock band Ryffhuntr and another called Sinbreed. Definitely a band you guys should look into ;)

^ Got a link to their music?

Speaking of German bands in the '90s, here's one I discovered on a synthpop compilation:

Point of View, "Little Planet"

All thee goods came from the 90's

jack off Jill, NIN (ok '89) but Downward was '94, drain STH, Manson, Snake river conspiracy, KMFDM (also late 80's but mostly 90's), Kidney thieves (under rated as hell) , AFI (when they where punk/metal), TOOL, ah hem TOOOOL!!, Rage against the machine, Sound garden, Nirvana, Hole, STP, Pan-mutha-f*ckin-tera (again late 80's but 90's was amazing for them)

Yup I'm sure there is more thats just off the top of my head, 90's was a great decade to be a teen in. I must have seen 100+ shows at the Rave (milwakee-ins you know whats up) and in mad-town.
Picture this if I could make the change
I'd love to pull the wires from the wall
Did you?

And who are you and how can I try?
Here inside I'm like metal
Aren't you?

I missed so much of it when it was actually in the 90s!
Maroon 5 is the only thing I remember from back then. Big fan of greenday's dookie, Nirvana's Nevermind, Radiohead's Creep, the usual.
AND BY THE WAY, I WIN

Here's a little tune from a band well-known for reinventing their sound every five or six albums or so. (It's also a killer track.)

Rush, "Animate" (from their 1993 album Counterparts.)

I listened to it, thought it was pretty good. The thing with me about Rush is that my dad LOVES them, and I hear them all the time, so I'm easing into it a bit slowly. But I'll try to listen with more open ears from now on.
Can't we all just get along?

All the good emo/emocore bands were from the 90's. YES THE REAL EMO NOT YOUR MCR sh*t.

To name a few; Mineral, Honeywell, I Hate Myself, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Promise Ring and so on.

Also Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Dinosaur Jr., The Jesus Lizard were/are amazing. I miss bands like that in todays life.
