Always do sober what you said you’d do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.

My favorite morning radio show in Chicago does these "Re-Mex" versions of rock songs every Cinco De Mayo. They're really funny.

With all due respect to everybody in this thread, I don't celebrate a holiday where a foreign country beat another foreign country, especially if that defeated country is France. Besides, Mexican Independence Day is September 16th.

If you choose to celebrate it, be my guest. Just don't expect me to join you because I'm not gonna partake, thank you very much. I'll celebrate a real holiday like Christmas or Memorial Day. (My birthday usually falls around Memorial Day anyway, and this year's no exception.)

Anyway, I just wanted to add my two cents to this. Not here to cause a fight or anything. I'm just respectfully dissenting.

Imagine a French Mexico...

Funny thing about the holiday is that Americans celebrate it much more than Mexicans do.

Yeah, yeah. I know.

Big-Will: Yeah, you're right. I just prefer St. Patrick's Day for obvious reasons. (In case the screenname didn't give it away, I'm part Irish.)
