somehow i get the feeling you just admitted you work somewhere where they don't care where you go on the web, so long as you're ok with showing the website to your parents

No. I'm unemployed, unfortunately, and I get discouraged easily when I get a bite on a job and it doesn't materialize into anything. :( Why didn't I go to a trade school when I graduated high school like my dad told me? >_<

Seriously, are you hiring? I'm willing to move for work.

Hope life gives you the birthday present of a job, Being 20 myself I should've had one by now but then again I've never looked. Some people can post with a life others like me find it harder - college and no job stopped me posting, hope you get the chance to see if you'd stick around with a job whatever choice you'd make :)

Surprised people from here were out trolling, I came to play the cripple fight flash game stayed for the forum, I lurked while posting (i had computer in offline mode in day when i couldn't sneak to dialup cable, got pages of threads to read when i was in offline mode at day, played the game in offline mode in day too, posted replies I'd typed in the day at night - odd way to use the net I know thanks for broadband!).

That feeling only gets worse every year (late 30s here.) Then again, chances are fairly good your life has been pretty kick-ass compared to most of the world's population.

You've outlived most humans who have ever lived and can be expected to do that again, and if you're very lucky might even do it again once more!
In antiquity 28 was average! In stone age, 30 something. Plus high quality :)

"I'M GETTING OLD! WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!"

Convert your age into days and feel older- then take it away from 24544 (the world average in days) or the local equivelent to feel you have a lot left!
AND BY THE WAY, I WIN

Unassumption: No thanks. I feel old enough as it is.

Update: My present came in the mail! (Had to order it by buying a gift card, but I was able to do it.) Anyway, the movie I got was this: "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut." (And it was so worth it!)

But remember, that average gets dragged down severely by high infant mortality. If you made it through your first 4 or 5 years, life expectancy went up dramatically. If you could get to the point where you could take a shit unassisted, then that was half the battle to make it to 50 or 60.

triplemultiplex is right. The infant mortality rate was exceedingly high in Medieval times. Still, I feel old at 29 years of age. (I probably shouldn't though.)

Thank you, GunGrave. :)

Well, people did die at 30 before the advent of agriculture, which would include most of human history. How's that?

And don't forget one of the major plot points of "Logan's Run."

"When you're thirty, you'll die, too."

What a f*cked up movie right there.

Don't feel too bad Gem. I'm f*cking 18 and I catch myself thinking about feeling old. We go through it every time we turn a major year, and we think about what we haven't done yet. But I say, if you find yourself feeling old just remember: Age is all relative. What's old to some is young to another.

Don't get me wrong. I'm completely aware of the facts that time and age are both relative. It just that the years have seemed to fly by. In fact, my dad has said on numerous occasions that when you get older, the years seem to go by quicker than when you were in your youth.

But like you said, age is but a number. You're only as old as you feel.
