Eh, the only people that get uptight about Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays are assholes anyway, and society shouldn't have to cater to the assholes.

"Thank you customer, Happy Holidays to you."

"Hmph, you should say 'Merry Christmas', you know."

"Oh I'm sorry, (sir/ma'am), I guess it's my fault for assuming you weren't an asshole."

No matter what you say, people will still complain.

^Correct :D

On Tuesday at sundown, Hanukah starts.

And in one week, the day after Christmas, Kwanzaa starts.

Did we cover everything? If not, happy/merry whatever (insert holiday here) :)

Oh, and Happy New Year everyone! My first New Year's resolution is NOT (for me) to make a New Year's resolution thread. I'll just continue to post here in this thread

Forget the Christmas part of the whole Happy Holidays political correctness debate. What about those who are chronically depressed? Even if they are Christian and celebrate Christmas, what if they're incapable of being "merry?" Not everyone can tune out the problems of mankind and just be happy like a child you know!

So let's be considerate of all and change the greeting to

"Tolerable Annual Winter Solstice Observance Period"

I think that's one we can all agree with.

And a very Tolerable Annual Winter Solstice Observance Period to you all!

Exactly! haha I couldn't agree more.

People always have to turn it into a negative thing. I'm simply saying Happy Holidays to ALL... just be happy that someone wished you a positive message, damnit!

You would think this time of year people would be nicer... but no.

No matter what you say, people will still complain.

Happy holidays to everyone, except the ones who complain that I said happy holidays?

Merry Christmas to everyone, except the ones who complain that I said Merry Christmas?

"Tolerable Annual Winter Solstice Observance Period"

In memory of kim jong II who probably called it that?
AND BY THE WAY, I WIN

I vote we don't worry about what we call it, and instead accept the fact that it's a time of year we can all enjoy! So Merry Christmas, complainers go somewhere else!
Can't we all just get along?
