Is BioShock 3 Infinite racist?

I love video games, I've played them since the days at LA Grouphome. One game I'm really looking into is Bioshock 3. But lately I've been told ths BS3 is racist, sexist, and nationalist. I didn't believe it at first, but then I saw of it. I'm not too sure, but what do you think? Watch these:

Myself, Robbie, and a few other BBSers are Bioshock fans (well this and Dead Space). Ken Levine (Bioshock creator) says its a way of unleashing his imagination. For those of you who don't know what Bioshock is, here are the trailers for BS1 and BS2.

Well, I'm not a Bioshock fan, and I'm not going to buy this game, but I read the article for it in Gameinformer. Since the main setting is a flying city that's intensely nationalistic, what may be going on here is reverse psychology. By making this city of people who feel intensely loyal to the founding fathers, the creators are probably trying to get the player to hate the city and its xenophobic, nationalistic and arrogant citizens. Again, not going to buy this game, that's just my impression.

Again, not going to buy this game, that's just my impression.

I've never heard that about it - but EVERYTHING has been called offensive by someone. I haven't played it but the 'stand guard against foreign hoards' guys are clearly the villains. It's like people objecting to south park because they think the show is anti-semitic, because Cartman is in it. Who knows there might be some unintentional biggotry in it but It's probably not worth fussing about given how much deliberate and direct discrimination is out there.

Unlike the massive underwater city of Rapture, which was built in secret; Columbia (the floating air city), according to Ken Levine, was built and launched by the US government shortly after the civil war. Its suppose to be a symbol of power for the US. The city floats around the world and is named is after the female personification of America. Its a way of sending a message to the world like, "look world, here's what we can do, here's what we're capable of." The game is in the year 1912.

Oh easily. But I hesitate to single out Republicans, because I've met liberals who feel the same way about our country. I feel it's addressed to all Americans, and is meant to address how we've responded to terrorist threats and this strange notion that just because we're the U.S, we can't possibly be wrong.

Every game in the BIOSHOCK series has one theme to help tell its strories. For example: BIOSHOCK 1 is Objectivism; BIOSHOCK 2 use Collectivism; BIOSHOCK INFINITE is Patriotism.

I'm guessing the next BIOSHOCK will be Communism.

It's not the game that's racist, just the characters.

I don't play it, but I checked out the term. Doesn't matter what they actually do, one of the reasons he chose them is for their size. But barring any other info about Danny, I can only go by Robert's word.
