Merry Christmas! It's 80 degrees!
Happy Boxing Day! Here's a huge fucking tornado to destroy your all shit.
Happy New Year! Here's a bunch of snow!
#Texas

Well, I missed the tornadoes by a few miles, and the snow by many, many more. You get the idea anyway.

BRMBug and I live relatively close to each other, don't we? I vividly remember you coming to visit me when I worked at Hallmark. You bought a Yankee Candle leather car freshener

It's not there anymore. Not really all that surprising, considering that 1)It's a greeting card company and people don't send things through the mail anymore 2)It's in a mall and 3)It was in a terrible mall. It's nostalgic for me, but only because it was my first job. I had to "break-in" one morning because I forgot the key to open. Not exactly the best way to handle the situation, but I was NOT going to call my boss to come let me in. She was scary.

But yes, the crazy f*cking weather. It was 80 degrees on Christmas (Friday), and then tornadoes and snow the next day. I know a lot of people freak out when crazy weather like this happens, but this really isn't out of the ordinary here. A few years ago, my cousin had a pool party for her birthday...in December. There was a heat wave back in the late 90s and it was 80 degrees in February. I always had to pick a Halloween costume that had short sleeves or was breathable because it would be too f*cking hot to be in full costume. The weather is not stable here, that's why we're in Tornado alley. Hot and cold air constantly at war with each other? That's where tornadoes come from!

I, like a lot of other Texans, have a love/hate relationship with this state. It's mostly love, though. I can't help it.

Baby, it's cold outside... :frozenkenny:
Not only is the high temperature not cracking zero, but there's a -20 wind chill. Good day to stay inside.
Got my fuzzy bear pants and a hot cup of tea and a football game to watch. Yep, no reason to venture out today.

Yep! I actually live in Denton now whereas I was commuting into Denton before.
I have a desk job now and I live on my own. Very exciting stuff.

Anybody in the Mid-Atlantic still buried in snow?
That was a hell of a storm. I'm impressed and I live in freakin' Wisconsin.

It's the Jewish New Year! Rosh (Head) Ha-Shana (of the year).

It is now the year 5777. 5776 went by so fast! I hope everyone has a great 5777!

It's that season! :santa:

Happy Chanukah (evening of December 24)
Merry Christmas (December 25)
Happy Kwanza (December 26)
Happy New Year (January 01)

And as New Years is on a Sunday, and Pasadena's founding leaders would not allow the Rose Parade to occur on a Sunday, this year's Rose Parade will be on Monday, January 02, 2017. Enjoy everyone :D

Well, it's Christmas Day. It's been awhile, but as it is Christmas Day, it's time (long overdue) for a rendition of the Mr. Hankey Christmas song:

♬♫♪Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo!
He loves me, and I love you!
Therefore, vicariously he loves you, even if you're a Jew!

Sometimes he's nutty, sometimes he's corny, and he can be brown or greenish-brown;
But if you eat fiber on Christmas Eve, he might come to your town!♬♫♪

Merry Christmas, everyone :santa:

Man, that was a short-ass winter.

I mean technically it still is and there's probably gonna be another snowstorm in March, but when you get a solid week of over 60 in Wisconsin in February, that is NOT normal.
A single 60 degree day in February or January is regular. Two is rare. Seven in a row is a goddamn freak show. This is unprecedented in my lifetime.

Spring will start on Monday, March 20.

A lot of rain in California this winter. We need it. But it was 93°F today

Spring will start on Monday morning when the Sun crosses the Equinox at 6:29 am EDT (3:29 am PDT).
