The Beatles

The Beatles are my favourite band. Anyone else here a fan of them? My favourite albums are Abbey Road and The White Album, and my favourite song is Help.

I'm a Beatles fan, glad to see at least someone likes them.
Here in Polandlandia, everyone thinks that I am "restricted" or something, because I only listen to the Beatles and nothing else. Silly Polandlandians.
My favorite songs are:
A Day In The Life
I Am The Walrus
Yellow Submarine
Come Together
In My Life
Yesterday
Help!
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Hey Jude
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
Let It Be
I Should Have Known Better

I think that's it. There sure is a lot of them.

I only have the red & blue "best of" albums on my iPod, but I have access to their whole catalog thanks to my Dad's record collection.

I bought Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band for my iPhone like 2 years ago. I really love the song Lovely Rita. Rita can give me a ticket any time. I don't listen to it any more as it got old but I will give it a try again.

I'm like that with a lot of my music. I'll download something, listen to it for a while, move on to something else, totally forget I have it on there and be completely surprised when it comes up in Shuffle mode.

I got a little pissed when I learned that the Beatles stopped performing live because all those screaming idiots were ruining the shows. Screwed everyone out of another two years of Beatle concerts.

I like all their songs. However, their album Let it be was I like most.

I preferred the later music over the earlier stuff when it came to Beatles.

I do have three CDs:

Sgt. Pepper
Yellow Submarine
Abbey Road

Used to hear a lot of these when I was little.

I'm a big fan of "Ob-La-De, Ob-La-Da" from the White Album.

The song is a big "fuck you" to the narrative of how one's life is expected to be lived with the pair-bonding and suburban banality. The couple in the song abandon budding musical pursuits to live the exact same life as a million other people and the Fab Four laments this in a way that speaks to me. The culture tries to celebrate this boring, unambitious model of living and the Beatles are saying, "No! You don't have to do that. Look at how lame it is! You can do better than that! There's more to life than churning out the next generation of worker bees!"

I'm not a musician, but it's still an awesome message.
