A lot about Trump has bothered me since long before he was ever a candidate or even a potential candidate last cycle. I can forgive that he is a shameless self-promoter. He has a brand and I don't begrudge him for slapping his name on hotels, golf courses and skyscrapers. What does put me off is the kind of sleazy institutions he attached himself to over the years.
No better example than the Miss America pageant. A beauty contest for shallow, plastic females with no personality beyond their hot bodies and along comes a billionaire to insert himself into this ridiculous institution. It's as if he only did it so he could hook up with these babes.
Trump has long been associated with shitty casinos in Atlantic City; a place that stinks with the rot of decades of gambling-related corruption and organized crime.
I think all of us are too young to remember the USFL, a failed pro football league in the early 80's. Watch the documentary ESPN did about the USFL and how Donald Trump was involved. Basically, he backed the USFL financially mostly because he thought he could sue the NFL for having a monopoly and get a big payday.
I had a roommate who was into The Apprentice when it was first on TV, so I ended up seeing most of that first season. It was a pathetic joke. The entire show seemed to me to build to Turmp being able to promote his new skyscraper in Chicago. What amazes me is the hook of the show was how Trump would 'fire' somebody every episode. And this is how that man gained much of his current fame. Firing people. Yeah, that's the guy I want in charge of the US; someone who is going to fire me.
Trump epitomizes the entitled, wealthy prick. He was born into money; born on top of the ladder. So when he says all this great stuff about himself; about winning and shit, it's like, "Of course you won, you started at the finish line, asshole!" And like every wealthy, entitled prick, he has the gall to claim he "earned" what he's got.
Let's jump ahead to this week. It has been surreal. Trump has spent the last 7-8 years saying crazy sh*t on Twitter and Fox Noise; being insulting and stupid in a very public way. Each time he gets loonier and loonier in order to keep attention on him and keep his face on TV. But finally this week, it's like everyone just became aware this man is crazy. To me, I'm like, "Hello! Have you heard a single word Trump has said in the last several years?! Your just waking up to this now?" It's like everyone is drowning in a flash flood and just before their heads go under, they all say, "Does it look like rain today?"

He is going to do great things and really fix things. Most White Nationalists love Trump and so I feel I love him too. I really hope he wins but it will not be an easy fight. Hillary has more support right now but the election is still like a year away. I don't like how the Republicans might not pick Trump to represent them even though he is the most popular one among them. Also I almost think Trump can say whatever he wants and get away with it. I say people should give Trump a try and lets see what he can do!
I can never tell with him, he really makes a lot of statements that are either creepy, intolerant or even both.JVM wrote:I hope you're being insanely sarcastic.JamesPup wrote:Trump may have a crazy and fun past but what I love about him now is what he is trying to do for America. I have to say that it really looks like Hillary will win and she was the one I wanted to win and thought would win for at least two years. She has been one of the ones people talked about running for president and the idea of a women being president sounds a lot like the idea of a black man being president and so I thought that it would make sense that after Obama that Hillary would take over.
You all have the right to put your vote where you want to!
He's a huge hit with the Alex Jones crowd, too. :/JamesPup wrote:Most White Nationalists love Trump
I doubted James' sincerity at first as well, but we've conversed enough to where I don't any more. I will disagree with some of his opinions, but it is kind of fun debating him.
The disturbing thing about Trump is the way he responds to people calling him out on his bullshit. He says factually incorrect things over and over again and when the media challenges him on those statements, he attacks them. He calls them names and says they're out to get him. Or straight up denies he said those wrong things.
The news media can't get enough of him though. Just put a microphone in front of him and they get eyeballs. I heard this week that despite his enormous wealth, he has barely spent any money on his campaign. He doesn't buy ads and his staff is relatively small for party front-runner. The media gives him all the attention he needs for free.
Trump is completely devoid of substance. He doesn't ever explain how his name calling and bravado translate into policies. In some cases, I don't even want to know. Because the only way to implement some of the half-cocked ideas he has spewed out would be nothing short of totalitarian fascism.
Here's my pet conspiracy theory about Donald Trump. He is in this Presidential race to make other Republican candidates look better by comparison. The rest of that field has some very terrible ideas; more tax handouts to the wealthy, more carbon pollution, taking people's health insurance away, keeping our wages stagnant. But compared to the stuff Trump says, all of those bad ideas seem like compromise positions. It's a sneaky way to get people to acquiesce to these Republican policies that in any other nation would be so outlandishly right-wing as to be non-starters.

Trump has switched parties five times, and has registered as a Democrat in New York at least once in order to keep his business ventures moving forward.
He once stated that he was for universal health care. (He has since reversed his position on this, but perhaps for political reasons and not based on personal convictions.)
He loves to criticize sitting presidents, regardless of party. (He lit up GWB on a few occasions, and of course, he's gone after Obama several times.)
He has donated money to the Clinton Foundation.
Based on his past, I don't think he's truly being honest with the American people. I think he's doing this for attention. If he wins, I'll have to support him and hope for the best, which is what I did with Obama. (And I gave up on him a year into this first term.) I'm an American first, but I also have backbone. Therefore, this conservative ain't voting for Trump.

Whatever he's talking about, it's always the worst fucking thing ever or absolute greatest, most awesome-est thing in the history of time.
It's weird. Who talks like that?
A five year old describing the expanded universe of his favorite TV show.

People like him exist because they want a reaction whenever they open their mouths. The people can adore Bernie Sanders without having the media put him in the spotlight, so the people should be able to ignore someone who is in the media spotlight.
Shut the fuck up about Trump. He's a fuckin' disgrace, and you all are only doing him a favor.
That's the type of thing people keep getting wrong about Trump. Yes, he says outlandish things and gets tons of attention for it. In fact it has allowed him to barely run an actual Presidential campaign. He hasn't spent sh*t on ads or tons of staff.
But while he has coasted on manufactured media shitstorms, there's something else at work here. Donald Trump has unearthed the dark underbelly of the American electorate. There are a lot of bitter, mostly older people who have spent their entire lives getting screwed over; mostly by the very political party they have been voting for most of their lives. For decades now, that resentment has been channeled into votes for Republicans by blaming their woes on liberal economic policies and a religious-themed culture war. They've spent my entire life getting folks riled up again and again about immigrants and guns and gays; they've convinced these people to only get their news from people like them because everyone else is lying to them. They did this because it gets them to show up and vote.
Now in 2016, these seeds of fear, distrust and xenophobia are bearing fruit. But it is not exactly what the Rupert Murdochs and the Karl Roves had in mind when they planted them. They unwittingly created the perfect conditions for a monster to be born. If there is a large scale terrorist attack in the United States this year, enough voters will be pushed into the monster's embrace to wake the beast. After that, we find out whether he breathes fire or is just full of hot air.

that he tries to do he's best for Amerika but this time he is going to far with his speeches.
so much, why do they waste their time on making a song about it? Don't they have
anything better to do? And if they really think they are correct about this, why dont they go themeselves in to politics?
