I don't mean to bother you, but why do you always mix up and confuse the names and ages of people who are dead with the people who are still living?
Still the same as it ever was.

It is a tragedy what happened to three year old Cheyenne Hyer

Imagine, being left in a city police unit by your own mother, a police officer! Officer Cassie Barker.

Besides the OP's confusing headline about the death (who is the mother (the alive person) and who is the deceased), I thank the OP for bringing this tragic story to our attention. A notable death indeed :(

And what's a "Miss cop?" Opposed to a "Mr. cop?" Nope. It's a Mississippi Police Officer! Very confusing.

My other issue, however, is the following screenshot of the link in the post of the OP to Yahoo News:

Notice the Yahoo page is telling me to click on the link to update my adobe flash. I DID NOT DO THIS! I suspected the page was hijacked! "After installing the required upgrade," the pop-up box says. That's in broken English, by a non-English speaker. "Required upgrade" indeed! So I independently checked on my flash version another way. And my flash version is the latest version - it is already up-to-date. I have no idea exactly what the link would have done - obviously it would have downloaded malware/viruses onto my computer!

Please folks, if you ever see such a link, don't believe it. Go to adobe yourself to find out. I don't blame the OP for this - she had nothing to do with this (except giving a link to Yahoo News). I just want to caution everyone that if you should see such a link to never use such a link. Always check it out for yourself.

That being said, here is a different link to little Cheyenne Hyer's tragedy, not using Yahoo News. It is from the New York Daily News, and adds more information than Yahoo News did - namely that both police officers have been fired!

Raymond Haerry, 94. He was one of the last people still alive who survived the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941 while being on the famous USS Arizona, that ship that sunk in Pearl Harbor. The Arizona Memorial is now a museum, built right above the sunken ship.

The article now says (I presume it was updated since reported on by the OP):

"The slain officers were identified as Lesley Zerebny and Jose Gilbert “Gil” Vega.

This happened in Palm Springs, the first officer death there in the line of duty since 1962. Palm Springs Police Chief Bryan Reyes said Vega was a 35-year veteran who was due to retire in December and had chosen to work overtime on Saturday.

Zerebny, 27, had just given birth to a baby girl four months ago. She had been with the department for a year and a half."
