Best South Park Villian

Postby SouthAl93 » Wed Mar 15, 2017 3:04 am

The villains on this list are either the most notorious or most recurring.
South Park is way funnier than Family Guy.
Also Mr. Garrison and Donald Trump are two SEPARATE people with completely different career backgrounds.

I voted Nathan and Mimsy but Saddam Hussein is my close second from the list.

Satan, natrually. Although is he really a villain?

Think of him as an anti-hero.

I now think of Man Bear Pig as the greatest villain.

I don't think this show's ever really had a villain who truly worked out as a long-term threat.

It's a massive blind spot for Matt and Trey, who often introduce new rivals or villains for main characters who last one episode and are then completely eliminated. Alex Hollis, Gavin Throttle, etc. all showed up once and contributed little, while others like the Orange County Dance Crew, the s18 Record Producer and Leslie died too quickly to actually achieve anything to establish them as active threats. Lennart Bedrager came the closest to accomplishing anything but yet feels a bit small since his goals didn't relate to any of our usual characters. Saddam is funny and memorable. The ones actually capable of killing, such as the Left Hand Killer or Manbearpig, on the other hand, were pretty mindless, dangerous but lacking in character. MBP is better remembered for Al Gore than for himself.

I think the villains of "200" and "201" - including Tom Cruise, Barbra Streisand, and Scott Tenorman - all fit the bill closest for me, since each of them established an active, physical threat against others, had some actual characterization, and had personal relationships with our main characters... but somehow even that choice feels like a big old cop out.

The closest thing to real threats the show has had are Cartman, Randy, Mr. Garrison and PC Principal, who are all main characters and points of satire and aren't going anywhere... which makes them more villain protagonists than actual antagonists or villains, in my view... and four of those seems like a bit much, even with Garrison out of focus.
