Political Party

Postby Nightbringer347 » Fri Apr 06, 2007 7:50 pm

What political party are you?
(The following parties are Left-Wing: Democrat, Green, Peace and Freedom, and New)
(The following parties are right-wing: Republican, Libertarian, Constitution, America First)

Oh yeah...if anyone is interested, you can read about the different political parties here:

http://www.politics1.com/parties.htm

...and vote for who you would like to see in the White House for the 2008-2012 term here (and even have a say in who YOU think is f*cking things up in America):

I'm Libertarian even though many of the Libertarian candidates seem to have more "Democrat" values than Libertarians are supposed to.

I think you have the wrong idea here. Political parties, especially Democratic and Republican parties are centered around tax cuts, not whether they are right-wing or left. It is very possible to have a conservative Democrat, and a liberal Republican.

That is true.

Hmmm. As far as my political stance, I'd say I'm extremely liberal, more so compared to many others that I know. I'm not going to use the phrases "Democrat" "Republican" As these phrases do not properly express my political standing.
No moar sig lolz.

Until I make a better one anyways.

u r right, but conservative democrats are usually VERY right-wing, they just believe some things that right-wingers don't believe (e.g: corporate America is the enemy, etc.).

oh yeah. left-wing and right-wing means what they BELIEVE in. this INCLUDES tax cuts, war, education, government, business, etc.

Liberal, I guess. But, while political parties (mainly Democrat and Republican) may only mean they have one stand regarding taxcuts and stuff, they still gather mostly left-wing and right-wing ideologies, respectively.

By the way, why isn't communist listed?

I think people should be educated and informed before voting, thus a republican in terms of it's original meaning. But, I also feel that the civil liberties of citizens should be put before all else, thus a libertarian (And if you say you're a libertarian because of M&T, then you phale). But I still think a strong capitalistic economy is essential for a nation to prosper, thus a capitalist, which is partly libertarian but a very "right" view.

So...

Communist is technically not a political party, but an extreme. Anarchy is extreme right-wing (actually, as far right-wing as you can be) and communist is extreme left-wing (as far left-wing as you can be). I know that there are a lot of communist parties (e.g. Communist Party USA, Socialist Party USA, Socialist Action, etc.), but they don't really have enough members to be called an official party. (Yes, I know they are a party, but the biggest parties are the ones listed above.)

^ is right

I'm the biggest anti-communist ever.

As for who I'm voting for in the next election,(even though I'm a Libertarian) I think I like McCain...he seems to agree with a lot of what I agree with.

There aren't any great Libertarians running IMO...they may as well be Democrats.

I don't really wanna vote for Rudy, but if he's up against Hillary or Obama, then I'm voting for him

and Brownback, I don't know much about him, but I know he is for censoring video games...and i think that is bull crap

so McCain '08 for me :)
