Which do you PREFER, Rap or Metal? How about rapcore (aka rap-metal...the singer is rapping, but the instrumentals are metal. best examples are slipknot, rage against the machine, insane clown posse, limp bizkit, linkin park, etc.)

Rap/rapcore drives me up the wall and makes my ears bleed. I'm not gonna go start a flame war over it, though...if people don't diss my music, I don't diss their music. That's how I treat my boyfriend's musical tastes- he's into rap/hip-hop, but I'll be like "Whatever." Surprisingly, he's into some of my music, too...

My musical tastes lean towards metal/nu-metal/'80s hair metal and classic rock...

For example...

- Black Sabbath (Ozzy era)
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Pink Floyd
- Led Zeppelin
- The Ramones
- Twisted Sister
- Disturbed
- System of a Down
- Dragonforce
- Guns 'N Roses

There are many more bands I love, but I'll leave it at that- I'm feeling too lazy to list them all.

I'm not into music like Rap, Metal or even Rapcore anymore.

Rap is listenable if I'm in the mood for it and the song is decent, but I mostly stick to metal.

same here! i enjoy rap where the lyrics don't suck, which is pretty hard to find. i know everyone will hate me for saying this, but fort minor is good. i just think that they actually spend time thinking and writing their lyrics (unlike, "this is why i'm hot, this is why i'm hot, this is why this is why this is why i'm hot. this is why i'm hot, this is why i'm hot, this is why this is why this is why i'm hot." i'd keep going, but it would take too long). i mostly enjoy metal. i like some rapcore. not big on limp bizkit or rage against the machine (although i do have one or two of their songs), but i mostly like slipknot, mindless self indulgence, insane clown posse, etc. when it comes to rapcore.

Metal all the way. Rap is crap. U really can't spell "crap" w/o "rap". Is that not the truth? Oh yea real metal is not system or anything like that. Dont get me wrong though, I love system to the bone, but there not metal. Metal Is the type of music where u can barely understand them type thing like, Lamb Of God, Hatebreed, Cradle Of Filth and so on. (They all Kick @$$)

All three. I'll listen to anything that sounds good.

I like Rap, as long as it has a good beat [With a catchy Jazz/Soul sample] and the rapper has good lyrics. I like Metal if it's catchy. Rapcore is good, too.

So basically, same as what swellman said.

Of course, being a little "old school," I prefer the earlier stuff. Judas Priest, Ozzy, WASP, that sort of thing.

Both Metal and Rapcore.
