Re: The Kindest Boy In South Park
Stan is the most loyal, and the most mature, not getting all up in himself about little kid problems and ditching his friends, unlike any of the rest of the kids. Also, if anything affects his friends, especially Kyle, he will throw everything aside to get him out of trouble, which is sadly not very well reciprocated. Also, he is the most sensitive (caring about animals, angry people being exploited, the whole bit in "Kenny Dies"). Of course, he was a pretty lousy character in the early seasons, but the later ones more than make up for it.
Kyle is definitely the most morally developed, always determined to do the right thing, no matter the consequences (if he realizes it), and is the most caring and generous. He cares about people and their feelings very much. He has the strongest conscience, and always believes in the good of everyone, even Cartman. I think he's not quite as nice as Stan, only because he is too wrapped up with Cartman to pay enough attention to the point, rather than defining the right behavior as "not Cartman".
All in all, I think Kenny is the nicest. He is always easy-going and laid-back, he is never mean-spirited, not even in the early seasons, and is always nice to everyone. He is the most compassionate (big surprise there), and is very selfless, sacrificing himself for the greater good, most notably in BLU. His only close to mean moment that I can remember was being pissed off that Stan cared more about Kyle dying than Kenny.

That is to say, when he's not forced into becoming Professor Chaos.

Cept when he's provoked and holding a dodgeball, but I'm sure we can all forgive him for that. :]
Butters seems more naive than all-out friendly. I think he only acts like he does because he's afraid of getting into trouble with his domineering parents.
Oh well, just my opinion. Maybe I'm biased because I've always been more of a Pip fan than a Butters fan, but whatever.

Horrific, deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words!

Re: The Kindest Boy In South Park
Clyde has prooved himself to be a selfish ass when he has what he wants, in season 11's Lice Capades and The List.
Kenny can't commit acts of self sacrifice; he know's he's going to die, and come back; the only sacrificial act that counts is in the movie; his regular behaviour counters this slightly.
Kyle is an intelligent and thoughtful charactar, but like a (margiannly) less-violent male Wendy, he generally seems to have his head stuck in high ideals, such as anti-censorship (Cartoon Wars II), when it comes to his life he WAS very manipulative and quite vindictive, especially to the stupid and those he finds beneath him. In recent seasons, he HAS changed into a far more understading and compassionate kid to the first class bastard who used Butters in seasons 6-8, even going as far as to forger Cartman's evil and save His life. That said, in episodes like the List (almost burnt the school) and Immaginationland (needed convincing to save Stan), he prooves that he still has a dark side deep inside.
I'm tempted to root for Tweek here, as MOST of the episodes he's in involve an act of self-sacrifice AND overcoming his paranoia. However he can be pretty selfish when he's in a paranoid frenzy, so...
Butters may be good mainly because he was brought up so strictly, but we're all products of our upbringing, and no matter why he's so nice, he is. While his paranoia could lead him to shy away from the right thing, his attempt at evil in season 6 shows he really isn't capable of it. He's a true nice guy.
