Should South Park have longer episodes (ie, 30 minutes)?

South Park is too short at 22 minutes

At 22 minutes, South Park is simply not long enough. South Park is cramming too much in.

For example, I would have loved to seen more character development with Shelly about Lorde. How did she ever react finding out Randy is Lorde? (Sure, they might put that in another episode, but the character development is really lacking.)

Trey and Matt are taking on big parodies. They need to make the episodes 30 minutes long.

After the episode, they could add like a 15 minute skit of Key and Peele or throw in some Mr. Pickles.

I thought it was 30 minutes long if you count commercials.

That's right. 8 minutes of commercials. If South Park was any longer, it would be an hour show - 44 minutes of show, 16 minutes of commercials. I think it's fine the way it is, and CC and M&T don't want to do longer episodes. Any longer and they would make another movie. I don't see that happening any time soon, so 22 minutes is fine.
