In "Cartman Sucks," was the one Butters was singing an actual song or just random? This is when Cartman comes rushing in to find him playing in his room.

I was wondering about that too.

It's a real song. Since no one has posted what it is, I will, now.

One correction for the songs there: I posted the correct artist to "Shake That Ass, Bitch" I corrected my secrets page to show that too.

CartmansCuzzin wrote:I'm suprised nobody brought up the old looney toon song "I Love To Sing" on the very first episode of south park...the exact song cartman sang after he was zapped by the visitors when him and the boys were walking home from school...that was a classic! Do anyone know who sang that song by any chance? (I doubt it but I'm guessing it was from the 30's)

"I Love to Singa" was sung in the 1936 Merrie Melodies cartoon by Tommy Bond (1926-2005), who was best known as Butch - the bully character - in The Little Rascals. Cab Calloway - Curtis in The Blues Brothers - sang it in the 1936 Warner Bros film The Singing Kid.

There's even a fan site devoted to the Merrie Melodies cartoon that featured the song: http://www.birtman.com/owl/

I just had to bring this up again, since the cartoon the song had come from had resurfaced!

We remember it from "Anal Probe," but the original 'toon had been added to the "Happy Feet" DVD! Checked it out this week, and I can still see Cartman's expression during the song.

I almost forgot one.

"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" was altered for "It Hits the Fan," for Garrison's song.

You forgot that one song from Spontaneous Combustion. I think it's called "You and Me, Girl."

And don't forget "The Morning After", from The Succubus

Wow, two of my favorite episodes. And I'm the first to bring them up.
