Trapped unbanned, rebanned?

Postby Daze2000 » Sat Jun 17, 2006 4:26 pm

A couple days ago, the Comedy Central online schedule listed "Trapped in the Closet" to air on wednesday, July 5. That didn't last long. Now "Cartoon Wars, Part I" is listed in that time slot.

We must not forget that in America, nobody is supposed to be offended by anything, or there will be hella lawsuits to follow.

Even if it's just a cartoon, God forbid we actually hurt anyone's feelings!

Political correctness is the biggest problem I have with society today.

Comedy Central is just scared to air that episode because they might offend someone who is affiliated with scientology or something. Stop being a bunch of wusses and just air it!!
I will love Stan forever and ever! He is the best!!!

This is why the Comedy Network is cool.

Trapped has aired at least three times here (six if you want to count the two and a half hour later repeat). The last showing was... well, a few weeks ago, I guess. Season nine airs every Friday night in order and we're in our third repeat, with Wing having aired last night. You guys do the math.

You guys suck. :P

I don't care anyway, for two reasons:

1) I can get Trapped in the Closet from the internet

2) I thought that episode sucked anyway

I'm aware. I've got it on my computer, too.

I'm just saying that Canada, at the least, isn't as censorship-crazy as you guys are. Is Bloody Mary still banned over there? 'cause we've gotten three airings of it up here, too.

I'm kinda eager to see what they do for Cartoon Wars.

And besides, one reason they stopped showing the episode was that it had something to do with MI3 coming out (no pun intended) and now that it's out, CC should have the right to show the episode again.
So-called people like Tom Cruise need to grow up....
Also, I think I speak for alot of people on this site when I say that I'm tired of having to be politically correct.

f*cking hell. Those assh*les.

In Germany, They don't do things like that. Freedom of Speech actually still exists. We can even say f*ck and sh*t on TV DURING THE DAY. Seriously, I'm ashamed of being half-American.

Speech as long as youre not
Dumb enough to actually try it.

Joe Strummer wrote that in 1982. It's still going on today, and it's gotten worse.

what i think is funny though that as im in the UK it takes time for new stuff to get to us
cep PS3 coz everyone around the globe will get it on 20th ish of November

but when i heard the big ho ha over trapped i immediatley went out of my way to get it over the internet

it is actually infamous and many of my friends got it even though they arn't die hard fans

more people probably seen it that it is banned compared to it being released normally

1. people just got it through internet so comedy central would of lost ratings and money

2. it is now an episode that is known by many non SP watchers

3. everyone now likes trey and matt, well my mum thought that they were *bad* then she heard of this episode and matt and trey's reaction on the radio and now she supports them against politcal correctness. dont ask

4. Tom crusise, Chef, comedy central look like wussies class A wussises

5. tom crusise looks like a gimp as he so blatently blackmailed CC over this episode

i want to see another episode about tom dying

i first saw this episode when i googled trapped and it went to a anti tom crusise + scientogy web site...so funny, epsically background

Freedom of speech, a woman's right to choose...all of our personal freedoms are being slowly chipped away at, but will never be totally done away with. After all, the right-wing needs different hot-button topics to get the American people riled up about. It's a sad state of affairs, but as long as artists like Matt and Trey don't give up, I'll try to keep hope alive too.
