I don't care if it made a stand, I'd rather see something of more quality win. :P I'm cheering for The Simpsons in this one, 'cause I really loved the episode that got nominated there. (The Seemingly Never-Ending Story - I'd rather watch that than watched Trapped.)

Are you people crazy!?! Trapped in the Closet is one of the best!Mr. Hat_DX27 wrote:As disappointing as the episode selection is, Iceiwynd, it does make a stand, so I can see how it got it’s nomination.
Let's win this one SP!

Really? It was? And what made is so magical spectacular? I liked the episode, however, as far as South Park standards go, it was pretty weak, and incredibly lacking. Using the same joke for ten minutes, while in this situation amused me, is not outstanding nor is it brilliant. Out of all of the episodes in the 9.5 run, this is the one I rewatched the least - and anybody who knows me knows I rewatch new episodes to death.
I'm not completely familiar on Emmy terms, but was it too early to announce any nominations had they been from season 10? What about Cartoon Wars? That was plenty controversial, too. And its writing was way, waaay better.
It's easy to run up and call an episode one of the best, now just why is it one of the best? Because South Park was ever so ballsy and took the piss out of Scientology and accused Tom Cruise of being a homosexual for half an episode? It seems an awful lot that whenever Scientology/Tom Cruise is brought up here, half of this board goes crazy and foams at the mouth trying to call all of the extreme bullsh*t on it. I'm no fan of either of the aforementioned things, but I'm not going to sit here and bitch and bitch about it. There's no point to it, everyone's thoughts are perfectly clear, and basically here it's just a bunch of people getting worked up for no reason because they all agree anyway.
So yeah. Ignore the outside world for a bit, pretend there was no commotion caused up from this episode, and just look at the episode itself: Was it really that great? Is it really Emmy material? And why?
