Are you happy with south park? Many say it's been going downhill. Some say it's better than ever.

What do you think?

In my opinion the newer episodes aren't as good as the older ones but i think they still have a chance to get better.Alots happened since the 1st half of season 10 so matt and trey have alot to work with.

in my opinion i think south park is doing good changing little things every so often to stay fresh, its good to go round the corner instead of going straight forward

Probably a little bit of both. It's good because some funny things sprinkled here and there are pretty funny and it manages to stay fresh in some way that I'm not able to describe.

Why the wrong direction? A little too much political stuff, and some episodes aren't as good as the older episodes, but still okay, with the exception of A Million Little Fibers, but Manbearpig was hilarious. When I compare an Season 10 episode with an older episode, perferably Seasons 1-5, they aren't as good, but still awesome. Like the good trail, There are some things that I can't explain why it is going down each road.

After Season Nine, I would've said that we were on the downside. Season Ten, however, has been much better so I'll say half/half. If the shows in the second half of Ten are as good as 6 of the 7 during the first run, then I'll be happy.

i think the newer episodes have a little more depth like as if 1 episode lasts 30-35 mins compared to earilier seasons that seemed to last 15-20

like Wing and Tsst seemed to be quite long but no longer than any other episode by the watch

its impossible for me to explain myself in this climate

I don't see how any episode could last 35 minutes, seeing as they only have a 30 minute time slot including commercials.

i said it seems like it lasts 35 mins

the same way during an exam when u r rushed for time it seems like 5 mins when the big hand has gone the coo coo

and the same way time seems to stop when you are forced round a old peoples home and doing sweet buggar all

That's probably just because Matt and Trey's writing has improved and the plots are more intricate, making it seem like it lasts longer.

The new episodes have much more...uhh...sophistication than the older episodes, but lack the classic charm. The old eps and new ones are both, IMO, equally great for different reasons. Each have their ups and downs. In the new episodes, I’d say the character focus is too narrow, they just focus on only a few characters. Ether way, they’re all good in my opinion. Episodes themselves are better than others, but oh well. Gotta take the bad with the good. Nothing's perfect.

Meh. I like the more political stylings of the newers episodes, but the thing I miss from seasons 1-5 is the way South Park seemed more like a community... like Mr.Hat said, in recent seasons the focus has been on a select group of characters almost exclusively (Butters, Stan, Cartman), while in 1-5 many of the show's other characters (Kyle, Barbrady, Mr.Garrison, Chef, Kenny, Wnedy etc.) at least had minor roles in episodes focusing on others, instead of being silent for pretty much 95% of the time.

Yeah and there was a time when they could make an episode without it having to do with current events. In the 1st through 3rd seasons they could do an episode and their first priority was to make it funny. Now there first priority is trying to deal with everything that's going on in the world today rather than just trying to make it funny.

But todays episodes are still better. There may be a few that get too politicial, but in whole it's still better than earlier seasons.

Yeah, the kids seem more like adults now, and we're not laughing saying "oh my god, i cant believe they're doing that! So cute! hahaha" Were basically not learning anything new from the characters, its now just......going. Am i making any sense?
