I'd be happy for it carrying on as long it stays as it stays good quality and the people involved want to do it.
Apparently they're only contracted for 2 more seasons. It'll take me a long time before I can used to it being finished

^Agreed. As long as they have plenty of ideas, I'd say they should keep going on for at least a few more years.

Along as M&T continue to keep up with the current events (which is their specialty), I believe they will end with the longest running streak for a sitcom, even past the Simpsons. It's still plenty of ideas that i can think of that they haven't completed yet so therefore if I gotta answer the question to this blog then I have to say between 15-20 seasons and they will, TRUST ME!

I agree.

15-20, or how about even further than 20? :)

I won't be able to stand it being finished. The show's just too good.

Really theres no limit. With a show that always stays on current events, theirs really no reason for the show too stop unless it's no longer funny AT ALL, which i don't see happening. Theres a very good chance this show could beat Simpsons.

I will be happy if they make 15. I don't think I could live without watching new south park episodes. Its gonna suck when the series actually ends.

judging from the quality of seasons 10 and 11, it will definetly not be ending any tme soon. its such a great and individual show, by two great comedy writers.

be honest with yourselves! do you really care if the show ends while its on top?! I DONT!!! I WANT SOUTH PARK AROUND ALL THE TIME, WHETHER OR NOT THE SHOW IS AT ITS PEAK OR NOT!!! think about it, every season has been better than the previous! when the show starts going downhill (which i imagine would be very difficult) then it should still continue because at least the characters and that style of comedy will still be within my grasp, and thats all that matters in the world

While, on the one hand, I agree that I would like South Park to go on forever, I don't think Matt and Trey are going to want to do this forever. They have done well with almost everything they have done IMO so I would hate to box them in.

Pretty much I will take it as long as they are willing to put it out.

...and get your mind out of the gutter.

Worst thing about stretching it out to 15 is that it could tank at 13 or 14.
His attack, his goading and his quick departure from the discussion...clearly demonstrates that [Mr.Hat_DX27], like Stovepipe_Jam, Killahertz9, TheTowlieConnection and others before him, has no integrity.

Yeah, but here is what i think:
They've had three year contracts, one year contracts, and contracts for two years, optional third. So, we might see 13,14,15 in one deal, 13, 14 and an option for 15, or 13, 14 and another for 15, or 13, and a two year contract for 14, 15.
That's how it's down here on the farm!
