Clockwork Orange (did you see the subtle references?)

Postby ChingChong » Thu Nov 12, 2009 7:36 pm

Okay so I'm sure whoever the Clockwork Orange fan is over at South Park is probably checking the boards to see if anyone noticed the Clockwork Orange references.

When they used the term "in and out", I thought it was just a coincidence and it seems like a general term to use. Then when cartman was in the principals office, the principal asks "are we clear" , then cartman goes on to say a line that's similar in pattern and tone as Alex (the main charactrer in Clockwork Orange) uses when he's being misleading and up to something devilish.

Bravo sophisticados!

I don't think this is the first Clockwork Orange reference in SP. The V-chip in the movie was similar.

I caught the "in out" line..

You know Micheal McDowell was on South Park, in 2000. Season 4..He was on Pip, which is an episode some people really hate, but I have always liked it..Now, since Micheal McDowell has been in Rob Zombie's Halloween movies, and since I have been a fan of A ClockWork Orange before South Park even came out, I like it more.

In "Pip", not only we had Michael McDowell (He was the main reason I lovd the episode); there is a scene where a guy make a metal orange, that might be a refernce to the "Clockwork Orange".

You are right..I probably wrote Micheal instead of Malcom, because 90 percent of the time, when I am on here, it is after work, and I am tired.

Oh, and today, I was at Spencers, and I actually found a poster from A Clock Work Orange..I didn't buy it, because I need to see how much money I have in the bank before I do ANYTHING besides paying bills. But hopefully, I can get the poster and a nice frame for it tomorrow. I is going to look f*cking awesome on my living room wall.
