for me it was the episode: Chicken Pox
(i love that episode! it's my top fave! LOL! 1st is : South Park is gay!)
Not having cable or satellite at the time, I heard about the show, but it wasn't until MnT signed the deal for syndacation to be allowed over the air on commercial TV. Whatever I saw, it was something from season 1. Then they showed every episode two times a day in the order of their original release for like the first four seasons; then they repeated with episode 101, Cartman gets an anal probe, and started the cycle again and again and again, going through season 4 then back to ep. 101. Now I think they're into season 8 maybe on free TV?
So my answer: It wasn't 101, but it was something in season 1 that I saw first
The crummy cable in my hometown had no Comedy Central (and didn't until like 2006) so the first chance I got to see an episode was a rerun of Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut while visiting my grandparents. I suffered all through high school with only catching an episode or two. It wasn't until college that I had the time and resources to go from being a viewer to a fan.
